Is it just me or has the frequency of ADs on the Youtube Android TV App drastically increased over the last while?
Increase in ADs in the beginning and during videos, Increase in unskippable ADs, Increase in back-to-back Ads.
It's to the point it's become unwatchable on the TV, I am thinking of maybe giving SmartTubeNext a try.

Yeah, I agree, I used my Android TV YouTube app ever since I got my TV (April 2022) and the frequency of unskippable ads is quite high. It's stupid and NO I do NOT want a Lexus LX!

15 second ads are unskippable, sometimes there's 2 5-second-ads also unskippable.

Yes! In a 5 minute video I will get 3-4 ads. Very annoying

I just changed to it and it's nice but the UI feels older and not being able to connect the home screen videos to the app is the only down sides I have seen so far I prefer modern and minimal design but better then ads all the god dam time
Ads were out of control, I was getting 3 or 4 before every single video. Then I got the SmartTubeNext beta -- ZERO ADS.
