Hey everybody. I just bought a new 4K QLED TCL TV and my problem is that the home screen is always showing in 1080p instead of 4K. If I switch to my PS4 or if I play a movie on Netflix which is UHD 4K there is no problem, everything is indeed 4K. I tried to look on google on how to change the Home resolution to UHD but I can't seem to find the option to change resolution anywhere in the option menu. Is there a way to change the resolution of Google TV Home on a TCL TV?
How do you know its in 1080p? I have same tv and I don't notice it tell me on the homescreen like it usually does for my xbox or apps (which annoys me a bit, but I digress).
As far as I understand, the UI is in 1080p on Android 11. When/if the tv gets the Android 12 update, it should get the UI elements in 4k. I'm not sure if this only applies to the Chromecast with Google TV or the AndroidTV/GoogleTv platform as a whole.
