I had an external USB storage device that died that was added as device storage in the settings on my Hisense u8h. Now I cannot remove it from the storage settings is there a way to remove it without doing a factory reset?

Have you added a new one yet? Wonder if it goes away when you do. That's what happened with a couple different non-hisense devices I have.
