How to Uninstall Sideloaded Apps Philips Android TV

by greenmark69

Hi All

I've sideloaded apps on my new Philips TV. Unfortunately I didn't check so I've the tablet versions installed and not the TV versions.

I can see the apps in the Sideload Launcher, but I cannot uninstall from there.

Other threads have suggested going to Settings > Devices > Apps and uninstall from there. However in my TV there is no "Apps" option available under Devices.

Is there a way of enabling the Apps option or is there a different way of uninstalling the two apps?

Try installing app call "DefSquid" and then uninstall it from there.

It is still possible if you go to Android settings - Device Preferences (translated to English) - Internal Shared Storage - Apps - uninstall

I have a Philips tv too and I am using Flauncher now as homescreen. With this app you can uninstall apps as well.

You need to look closer for the apps section it's a basic Android TV setting. It could be in a different place depending on the Android version the TV is running.
