We watch 9news out of Denver sometimes. They have a streaming app. I noticed the version in Google Play store for my Onn TV, Android TV device is called 9news+.
The version on my Firestick is different. It's just called 9news and looks to be made by a different company. It also has more functionality.
Finally, there is a 3rd version on my phone.
I really like the Fire stick version. I tried searching for an APK for 9news. It is just the phone version though. I sideloaded it on my Onn tv device. It isn't setup to work for a TV.
Does this happen often? Is there any way of getting the Firestick version on a regular android TV device?
Looks like 9news is the "free" version and 9news+ is the "paid" version with live & on-demand (the difference is still vague)
Both are available on Android (for phone & tablets), iOS, Roku, Fire TV & Apple TV. No mention of an "Android TV" app.
And yeah, it's very common.
