Browser not able to stream 4k

I just got a TCL Google TV and I'm not able to stream 4k Videos in any browser I have tried. Apps like Netflix, YouTube etc work fine, but if I'm in a browser trying to set the video quality on any site to 4K it stops working. Is there any browser that supports this or a workaround?

Cast it from your phone or computer. TV browsers suck.

The browsers probably don't support the HEVC codec most 4k files use. Why are trying to use a browser on a TV?
