Maybe they're about to release a new version (just in time for Xma$) and wanted to make sure all the old stock was cleared out first?
Unfortunately, if that's the case, the new version will probably cost more than $20, but probably not have any noticeable improvements.
It’s not discontinued! My Walmart had them being re stocked until last month, but they all sold within a week. I’m guessing either they’re coming with a new version or word of mouth has spread and ppl are buying several at once. Someone here mentioned they buy 20 at a time bc they root them and sell them with the piracy apps. So I’m just guessing Onn didn’t know it would be that good… By the way I don’t work at Walmart I just keep an eye on this box.

Basically, word got out about these things, plus we're in the period of time where Christmas shopping begins in earnest, and the most recent Chromecast update has caused some consternation among those folks. Plus, you know, gray market folks buying them in bulk so they can sell tricked-out versions of them on ebay/Amazon/etc.
All those things occurring simultaneously is leading to Walmart basically not having enough supply to meet the demand right now. You have to F5 the site to see when they come back in stock, and then place the order once it is. But the box isn't gone. It's just really hard to get right now, especially considering most of us only found out about the things in the last year by going "what the hell, I'll take a flyer on a $15 box at WalMart"
Depends on what area you are in. I'm just North of Dallas, Texas and all 3 WalMarts in my area have them in stock.

My local Walmart is still selling it and it's available for me online. It might have sold out at your local Walmart. Try check online and see if you can have it delivered to your local Walmart
