Hello everyone! I have a TCL C725 TV and I wonder, where can I find the latest firmware to update my TV via USB and not via the TV Settings.
I saw some forums that indicated that if you go to update TV firmware from Settings it will always show you have the latest version even if that is not the case.
What version of Android do you have?
I also want to update.
Although I have doubts if the antenna tuner would be damaged
If my box working good I never update...I have had bad luck before updating A box that was working good..
Hi, i just bought same model Tcl C725 & was wondering the same question, how to update it to google tv & found 2 versions on telegram one is v501 & other is v496. Version 501 is newer but no ota size is mentioned. Should i install v496 or v501. I just don’t want to install img file’s every time & wana update from within UI. Is that mean 501 is in testing(beta)if no ota size is mentioned or should i go for v501 & its safe to do so with future updates in UI
Edit: Did perform Gtv update to v496. Everything seems to run smoothly with minor bugs in setup process.
Ok..go to the Telegram TCL tv discussion channel and search your tv model...once you have determined the correct version you want use the firmware bot to download...also search the thread for install instructions for the OTA fw via USB although you may need to flash an .img file if moving from ATV to GTV...
