Hisense tv running google/android tv. Issue started 2 weeks ago. I'm sure it's the peacock app itself, but since it's not happening on the Samsung tv, I wanted to ask here.

Same thing is happening to me with my Google TV Chromecast. Does no one have a solution for this?
Came here looking to solve this problem. It's happening to me on my NVIDIA Shield too.
TCL Android TV, same issue, AD turned on for every video. Some programming ( "Nope" ) doesn't default to "Audio Description". Episodic programming like "Law and Order" does.
A recent phenomenon, a couple of weeks or so.
Update: AD defaults "on" in the Android Peacock app from the Play Store.
However, using Chrome on the Peacock web site does *not* default to AD.
Damn, we need a solution.
Go to subtitles, click English. English AD is the audio description. However watching on my phone I have to change it after every time I pause the show I'm watching. Can't figure out a way around it

Found this trying to Google a solution. Literally everytime I stop my show, I come back and the audio description is back on!
It happens every time I watch on my Samsung TV or laptop using a browser. It seems like they just chose this as the default setting instead of just English. It's a peacock issue
No solution but I swear if someone finds a solution I will pay you for it. Fix your stupid application peacock. Having subtitles would be one thing, but having a setting where maybe 1% of your population needs is impressively incompetent
Doing it on our Hisense with google/ android TV. It’s soo annoying! They need to make this fix a priority! There service on our TV isn’t even usable
Yep, peackock app on Chromecast dongle thingy for multiple shows (Young Rock, Dr. Death, movies).
just got a google chromebook for christmas, started watching modern family on peacock and yes, after every episode the audio description is turned on. It's so annoying!
FINALLY FOUND A FIX after having this same issue for the past few months.
for the chromecast with gtv, go into settings, scroll down to Advanced Sound Settings, if its on NONE, select Automatic, if its on Automatic Select Manual and Select whichever formats your tv supports, If its on Manual, Switch it to automatic.
After that clear the cache of the peacock app in settings.
(If your having the problem on something else, im sure other devices need similar audio adjustments in settings).
now every show defaults to surround sound 5.1 nothing is going back to that audio description no matter the show, episode, skipping etc. working fine again.
yes, same for me on CCwGTV. though it started for me several months ago.
