I just noticed the channels app had regular monthly updates untill November 2020 + it's no longer a system app, should we be prepping for Google to kill it..? Done some research and seen no information on what they are doing with love TV related stuff...
I want an answer too, seems like they might be pivoting to live tab in the google tv launcher but there's not as much support there yet. I think its limited to YouTube tv, Sling tv, and Pluto tv.

Please Google don't touch my Live Channels app. It's working fine as is. Have it running on 3 tvs with TvIRL to input my IPTV feeds.
Use the sideload launcher app store tv Android to side load the application.
I use Aptoide (alternative app store ) wel known, but I'm not sure if it's safe. On the TV, there are more apps than fore the tv, and some of them are a little weirder to use because they're meant for the phone fingers lol i plug in e Mous fore sum apps

What does channels do? Control your cable channels?
I'm guessing they gonna kill it off as this apps shortcut used to show up on the main screen when it detected over the air transmittions or certain apps now u have to search for it
