Does the Chromecast remote ever go on sale?

I need a few extra remotes and haven't seen any sales. Should I wait, or do they never go on sale?

Right now they cost as much as a new Chromecast. I could buy those, keep the remotes and give mine away. But that seems ridiculous

If you decide to go that route, I'll go on and be the responsible one and say I'll put the remote-less units to questionable use.

If you live in USA, Walmart is selling the Onn. HD-stick streaming device, which has Google's G10 Bluetooth remote in the box, for only $10 online. A good replacement remote for the Chromecast 4K GTV, but you will need to fully setup the stick to be able to program the {Power/Input/Volume} buttons before disconnecting stick to then connect to Chromecast 4K GTV.
