ExFAT pendrive on Onn 4K TV

by rov124

Anyone knows how to enable pendrive formated on exFAT on the Onn 4K TV? FAT32 is a no go because I want to play movie with filesize larger than 4gb.

I download an app "Microsoft exFAT/NTFS for USB by Paragon Software" but it seems you need to pay to use. Anyone can confirm this works on the Onn 4K?

Thanks for your answers.

And BTW, to answer your original question, no , Paragon's app doesn't read exFAT on Android TV. It reads NTFS, but i've never tried if its fast enough to run a high bitrate movie through it. Mixplorer got its own exFAT parser, its free, i've tried that, and it did stutter pretty damn often.

There is an ugly workaround i've been using on CCwGTV, that plays 4+ gbytes movies from a FAT32 flash drive. Install Kodi with rar plugin. The rar plugin is able to stream directly from an uncompressed multivolume rar. Store the movie in such a rar, split into less than 4gb volumes.

Hey I didnt now that even existed; that's awesome. This is actually what Nvidia has on license for Shield.

People have used the Paragon drivers (not sure of which ones they provide), but I believe it doesn't automount the drives like a native driver would. And if you read the reviews, they generally aren't great. Sounds like a chance for corruption.

Would ext4 be a viable alternative? Is there a (presumably) Windows driver for ext4 you could use?
