Possible to use Alexa devices for TV-sound from AndroidTV (instead of FireTV)?

by ObiYawn

I understand FireTV devices can 'pair' with Alexa speakers to use for sound output. As FireTV is also Android-based, has anyone figured out a way to pair AndroidTV devices with Alexa speakers for the same purpose (rooted or not), perhaps by sideloading a specific apk? Or is this functionality deeply integrated into the core of FireTV and cannot be extracted to be used elsewhere?

In my case, I am using the Walmart Onn 4K AndroidTV puck.

Thanks!

For one speaker, I just use bluetooth. Multiple speakers, not so sure.

Not the way you want, but sorta. If you have your Fire device connected to the ARC port on your TV, ARC can pass the audio from devices connected to the other HDMI ports, like your Android TV device (or even the TV itself!) to your Echo. I don't know how cheap of a Fire Stick you can get away with for this, I know it works on the 4K and the 4K Max.

Afraid not that's a Fire TV/Amazon Echo ecosystem feature.
