I have a Homatics box r 4k plus Where I need help is in the emission of the DD5.1 and DTS sound.
I have the Box 4K connected by fiber optics to an ONKIO home cinema amplifier, the sound reaches it but it is neither DD5.1 nor DTS, it only emits Prologic or stereo.
This amplifier detects the audio systems automatically based on the sound source it receives, I have tried online content from various sources without getting the DD5.1-DTS signal to come out, it only stays in DD Prologic, I have also tried with content. MKV from external USB with DD5.1 and DTS sound with the same result.
This content played from a desktop computer with windows 10 Pro emits the sound in DD5.1 and DTS through fiber optics without a problem and the amplifier translates it normally.
I have tried with almost all the menus of the Homatic, automatic audio, manual selection, forcing the sound of the DTS input in the amplifier (it was silent), without result and since I have run out of ideas, I ask for help.
My TV does not support Dolby Atmos. So it is this reason? Why? Does your other set-top box work like this?
Thanks for your help, Regards.
If you can move to an HDMI connection and your TV has at least an ARC HDMI there's a unit you can get that basically changes your TV ARC to an eARC connection that solves all lip sync issues and also outputs the highest sound quality that your box can stream. It doesn't matter if the TV supports up to Atmos or not, it will still output the highest sound quality to your sound bar.
I spent too much time trying different settings on the tv, on the streaming device and nothing worked, even though it sounded great. But I had huge lip sync issues, and even if you are able to get your desired sound quality, you may then experience lip sync problems too.
