Nvidia Shield TV users:
"Oh shit here we go again".
My 2015 Sony TV hasn't gotten an update in a looong time.
Applied the update. Not a single user-facing change. Was back to Shield after 5 minutes.
I don't even have Android 12 on my 2022 TV yet. Guess I'll be seeing this update in five years, maybe.
Can you still sideload apks in 13?
I’m sorta unfamiliar with the android world but have a Sony tv that’s about 18 months old. Is it possible to install these updates if Sony don’t push them out?
If only we got this on our Onn. 4K which is basically an ADT-3 already.
I have a couple of mibox and haven't installed the update that puts a 1000 ads on my tv, thank you but no thank you
If they fix that major flaw, I'll update...if they still have 1000 ads...I'll keep on passing
Anyone know when the Mibox S will get android 13 or is it stuck at android 9?
When will Chromecast Google TV implement this?
Is it available worldwide or just to developer's
Can I get it on my LeEco TV?
Update give you nothing new only remove old features. And improve security. Like b4 i was able to install call recorder now i can't.
Version updates seem to be overrated in the Android world... And even more so in Android TV.. If you have android tv v10 for example, I don't think you will feel a severe loss of functionality or feel terribly disadvantaged because you don't have v11, v12 or v13
Can we install this on the Nvidia Shield TV Pro? How to do this?
Recently I applied the last update (Android 12) of one of my Ccwgtv and I quickly regretted it. Indeed, some applications ( Screensaver) no longer work at all. It is not a progression but a regression.
Another Google thing done by a trainee or the janitor's teenage son.
And that good sir's is THE major issue for AndroidTv... No requirements to update device or allow custom rom with Drm/DV/HDR10+
Fantastic with new versions and new features.. but no hw supplier is bothering with keeping the application up to date.. I want Android tv 12, or 13 to be on my TV.. without having to buy a new tv every year
Sounds good for the good folks in 2035 that buy a new device. Almost no current device will probably see this anytime soon.
