Best *Cast Receiver ? (Android Screen Mirror to TV via HDMI)

by [deleted]

Hi all!

As the title states, I‘m looking for the best option to screen mirror (+ display photos) wirelessly to a HDMI Display. Tablet is a Galaxy S7 FE.

I‘d rather spend a few bucks on proper built hardware than for some (mediocre)apps on an Amazon TV devicf (example). Stabilty and simplicity over feature set.(Android) System near connections are preferred over 3rd party stuff. Good WiFi is present.

Background: Grandparents would like to check emails on TV and watch photos there - nothing more for now ;)

The email experience on the tv will be sucky - no way you will be able to get proper viewing such as a desktop experience when displaying on a TV.

Otherwise casting works perfect.

Uh, chromecast?

Samsung tablets screen mirror with Smart View which is their name for Miracast. Their TV might already have it built in. Look for a Miracast or screen mirroring feature in the TV menus and Smart View in your tablet's quick settings to turn it on.

Google Photos app on the tablet and a Chromecast or any Android TV device or TV. Email is another issue. I don't know any solution for that. Mabye use the browser and cast the screen but that would just reading the emails on the table would be less tedious.

AIrScreen has all the formats in one app .. cast, mirror, apple, DLNA ... it only needs to be installed on receiving device not sending. I use it all the time and it's great..2nd runner up is WebVideoCaster and WebVideoReceiver (install on tv) edit: You can use chromecast or Miracast to clone your phone screen or "mirror" it onto TV

Play store AirScreen

WebVideo Caster
