I purchased a mi box s, 1 year ago. From the first days the remote control didnt work properly. I tried many ways of pairing it but the only function that provides is to only wake up the box. I found way via hdmi cec to control my box from my tv remote.

2 Weeks ago i tried one more time to pair again my mi remote control by unpairing the remote from the device list and to re-pair it. But no luck my mi remote control cannot be paired in any way. So i have to unplug and plug again the power of the box in order to operate (i dont want the box to stay activated all the time because it becomes very warm).

The weird thing in this story is that if i boot my mi box into recovery mode using the mi remote (yes in this way only it works), i can navigate in the recovery menu normally with the remote. If i restart my box via recovery menu, the remote stays inactive as before.

Does anyone can provide me some help to solve this problem?
