The Homatics Box R 4K Plus has so far Dolby Atmos passthrough support for Netflix and HBO Max while Disney+, Star+ and Prime Video only support Dolby Digital Plus.
I wonder what AndroidTV/GoogleTV boxes (not televisions) besides the Nvidia Shield are supporting Dolby Atmos in all services.

Most likely a PERMISSION issue, a lot of internal media /system files are permissioned [444] Read-Only, so apps aren't free to interact, but if the same system files were permissioned [644] User/Apps could intereact correctly. Previous Chinese Generic Amlogic 9 boxes don't fix Android as in /system_as_root/system/ ...they instead throw all the permission hacks in Android INIT files for Amlogic devices to have [666] Read-Write permission for everything to do with media files and codecs..
If you follow the LineageOS Gerrit for Amlogic S905y2, multiple times permission issues where the root of the problem to get that OS stable.
