I am living abroad and the only apks I can find are ABC iView and 10Play which work fine with a VPN. The 9Now apk I found seems to be mobile only.

ABC, 7, 9, 10, SBS all have a native app for androidtv
All are available on APK Mirror's site.
Best is you create a new Google Account using your VPN set to Australia.

They all have native android tv apps, but will require a VPN to access as they are geoblocked.

If you're feeling clever, you can try accessing the live TV channels for your preferred State/Territory/Region.
You'll need the Live Channels app and an app that syncs m3u8 and EPG files (such as PVR Live).
Search "Matt Huisman IPTV Android TV" and you should find usable files plus a basic tutorial.
