I’d say unless you’re super picky about audio for music in particular, it doesn’t really matter, since pretty much all audio on video streaming services, blu-rays, and cable/OTA TV is sampled at 48kHz.

Just curious. What equipment (TV, receiver/AMP) are you using to play the music files?

Can't you just setup a DLNA server on he device and then use the receiver to direct stream the files?

Essentially backwards, but works around Android's audio stack.

Yep and Nvidia had to build this in special. I don't know any apps that take advangage of it besides Kodi, Apple Music, and MO 4Media so far.

But unfortunately, yes, today due SoC limitations, only Nvidia shield is capable of TrueHD
