Does 6K media actually exist as claimed by some Android Box manufacturers?

by GeneralSeveral203

I was under the impression while we have 4K media and TVs and 8K media and TVs, but 6K doesn't exist? I found this article which talks about 6K cams (devices) https://camerajabber.com/buyersguides/which-cameras-shoot-6k-video/

Or is this all just marketing gimmicks? I mean we see the Firestick 4K but no 6K. And 8K TV is really expensive with limited media to be played at this point in time.

Publicly broadcast then pretty much doubt it with the exception of some random YouTube content

bandwidth will be the biggest issue here along with the technology needed to display it ie. your TV although they exist 8k Televisions are pretty niche and use a lot more energy quite literally twice as much as 4k the EU inparticular have introduced new guidelines for energy consumption for sustainability 8k TVs will fail to meet these guidelines so will have a huge impact on their sales

add to this their cost most being £1000 (I'm in the UK) over the price of a 4k of a similar size screen 😳

Nobody is producing anything higher than 4k. I suppose there is a such thing as 6k but it's irrelevant to the consumer market.
