Sony Android TV can't use NVMe M.2 disk

by M_ESSIA_H

I have disk  256GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO NVMe M.2 and when I connect it to TV USB 3.0 (USB A to USB C) using enclosure then Android (Version 9) TV found it and see files but is very very slowly like 100 KB/s and second disk SK Hynix SC311 SATA 128GB M.2 128 GB working perfect and I'm watching movies. Why Sony TV KD-65XE8577 can't work with SAMSUNG disk? As you can see NVMe M.2 have 9 KB/s spped. Any suggestions?

Both disks

9 KB/s

Looking at your pics show the Samsung power requirements are high: 3.3 V @ 3.3 A and the Hynix 3.3 V @ 1 A.

Everything makes a difference when using an external drive. NVMe current, enclosure, cable, TV USB port, Android drivers ...

Looks as if your TV has USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. USB 2.0 supports 0.5 A and 3.0 0.9 A. Try a 3.0 port first and that may not even have enough power.

Probably more a property of what the enclosure is presenting it as. What type of device does it appear as in the Device Manager on a PC?
