Which Screen Mirroring app from iOS & MacOS to Android TV?

by LePetitArtiste

First time having an Android TV (Philips PUS8057) and figuring out how it works especially with my two iPhones and two MacBooks.

Silly of me, not checking first if the TV had Airplay or not, I know.
But for the people who have an Android TV and multiple Apple products, what's your way around it? Which apps do you use?

Ideally, I would like an app just on the TV instead of on all devices. I don't mind paying a one time fee for the app as long it's not a subscription. I highly appreciate a simple and clean UI and without too many advanced (in my case, useless) options.

Please help me out! And thanks in advance!

this app did the trick on my Sony Bravia running AndroidTV: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.waxrain.airplaydmr3

The two apps I use to Chromecast from my MacBooks are Beamer for streaming video files (no longer actively developed bit still works), and a Safari plugin called Send to TV for Safari, from the Mac app store, which can stream most videos it finds on a web page. I haven't really looked for an iPad solution as anything I use on the iPad has Chromecast support built in anyway (YouTube etc.)... I do have Infuse which I believe has Chromecast support for streaming video files to Chromecast, but have never tried it.

Does Chrome on MacOS not have cast desktop functionality?

You could also buy a cheap Roku 4K device. They offer official AirPlay support and are on sale right now.

"AirScreen - AirPlay & Cast" works for me to screen mirror iPhone on Android TV without needing an app on the iPhone. AirScreen guides you on how to start screen mirroring: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ionitech.airscreen

MacBook can be screen mirrored using Chrome to Chromecast the screen.
