Hey! I currently have a Nvidia shield pro, I really enjoy the voice and upscaling features! But I was wondering if there was a better device I could be using for streaming.

Are you experiencing any issue? Or just FOMO ?
yeah, I have to agree. And the shield pro is pretty much the best box on the market at the moment. there are individual HDMI upscale or adapters that you plug in between two HDMI cables and you can switch it on and off and it will give you a comparable, if not identical, upscaling that the shield does, but without having to run it through the shield, or run it on the shield
Not Android TV, but HTPC, possibly Apple TV(controversial) are also great options.
Not really but what do you think you are missing. Streaming is done with ease on any number of devices and kind of all the same.
I searched for the best, Nvidia shield pro is it. I like the hardwired ethernet connection, and a pure-ish android experience. I also use kodi with media on my nas so it has to do more than just stream.
Maybe you want a TV tuner to watch broadcast television when you've finished watching all of the internet.
There is nothing better than the Shield nor is there likely to ever be.
The Shield was created to be an Ouya killer. It's hard to believe it now but the Ouya raised an insane amount of money and pundits were proclaiming a golden age of set top Android boxes as open as a phone with no gate keepers to tell you what you could or could not run.
History though went another direction. The Ouya was a miserable failure. Android was cut down and more importantly locked down then stuffed into the TVs and the golden age ended leaving the Nvidia Shield alone on the battlefield. The ultimate open Android set top box.
The economics of current generation Android TVs and set top devices are all based around lock in and lock out and selling your eyes to channels and ads. There's no economic incentive to build anything great
As an android tv device probably not.
