Philips TV turning on by itself

Question

I’m looking for some help with my Philips TV. It turns itself on by itself, this started happening about 6 months ago and can’t figure it out. I have checked the HDMI CEC settings, which is called Easylink on a Philips. I have turned the function off but it’s still happening. I have also tried updating the software and using new HDMI cables.

Anyone know if this is a known issue? I have googled and found several people online with the same issue, but none seem to get it to work.

PS, the turning on usually happens at night, sometimes it takes 3 hours, sometimes 6, sometimes it happens instantly when you turn it off. And other times it just stays off. So the problem is intermittent.

I also had a Philips TV that turns on, however I knew it was my Bose sound bar that turned it on. If you have any devices connected like a soundbar, PlayStation, firestick, check their settings and try unplugging them one at a time to see which if any it is.

Is there maybe a neighbor (eg across the street) with a Philips TV that accidentally (or not lol) turns yours on when they don't aim well at their own TV?

I just had this issue. Turn it off and it turned itself back on. Did it 3-4 times in a row so I unplugged it. Soon as I plugged it back in, it turn on again but this time when I turn it off it stayed off. So I tried one more time and it worked normally so I didn’t try again……
