Onn FHD Streaming Stick Guide and Tips

by DawnRenee1988

Okay here goes I just found this on sale at a out of town walmart about 20 miles from where I live and grab the "Onn FHD Streaming Stick". Now here comes the problems:

(1) Should I create a new google account just for the device alone and then just use that one new email for all the streaming stuff.

(2) I currently don't have any free or paid for services I normally just watch TV shows and Movies on free streaming sites on my laptop. So now that I have this I would like to register for a few of these free apps and services and have my spare cellphone for this stuff also.

(3) I don't know of many free services or how to lock out services "Example: Since I'm a prime member I don't mind watching free TV shows included with prime or movies but if it was going to charge me I would like to know before I start to watch. Is there a way to lock things so I need to put in a code or pin before I can view select things.

(4) Smart TV's and devices are normally pretty smart but me not so much so I get a bit scared so I like to see how to set things up before I start using things just to make sure I don't end up spending money on the phone or device and not have the money to pay for it. That is another reason why I was thinking of starting a second email and account just for smart stick and second cellphone.

Can anyone else tell me if there is a better way of setting this thing up or if they can point me in the right direction please and thank you!

Pluto tv, Tubi, and plex all are free with alot of content, tv and movies. All you need is a google account to sign into on setup. New email, that is up to you for me i dont.

Do you only wanna use “legal” apps or you don’t mind using other type of apps?… Don’t worry you won’t get in trouble lol been doing this since 1998 😏…. Since you seem so want to have everything separate. I would make a new email and use that one. That way you know that’s your Streaming account email. Free Apps are Hulu, Crackle, Tubi, Vix (Spanish Media), Pluto, Youtube (Free Movies with Ads),

Okay here is where I'm at currently I have hooked it up and am now still waiting on the "Full OTA update to V9.2.32 666MB 1. Security Patch Level Update (May 2022) I think its about 80% done.

(1) I just logged into my laptop running "Windows 11" Its my newer laptop I got myself for Christmas and I only use it with my outlook account so far no other emails on there I do have firefox installed but I have not signed into any other accounts since I made my outlook account. I have 3 month free gaming pass thing also with the new laptop so I just made a quick outlook account for all my Microsoft stuff.

(2) I also have installed "Google Chrome" now here I go. "Create Account". For Myself, I fill in the information. and now I go to make a new email address and then I use my outlook email address just in case I need help getting back into my google account.

(3) Now I have the new google account setup and now I just need to find out what all I can put on the device for apps that have free services and then while on the laptop register for all these account with the new google account and then sign in with the same information on the TV.

So far I have a plan I just need to figure out what all I want to put on the TV.

The update has finished! So here we go.
