Hello just added a 64GB USB 3.2 pendrive to the usb 2.0 port on my TCL Android TV.

When the tv starts, it takes like a minute for the TV to reconnect the USB Pendrive and for the apps to appear.

Is there any way to fix this issue/delay?

I just got this tv today. Set it up using Google home like normal, currently on the same network, logged in with the same account and all apps updated on my phone and tv but i can't get the virtual remote on my phone to even appear as an option, the tv works with Google assistant but telling my phone to do stuff on the tv just returns with the tv not being available.

I had a Hisense that recently crapped out and that one worked fine with Google home.

If i click on the Sony in Google home, it only has an option to customize the ambient display. Nothing else.

Is there something in the settings I'm missing on the tv?

Hey All, I am looking at upgrading my tv box. Currently I have been using a fire stick 4k max, but I have been experiencing too many issues with it, primarily Bluetooth headset causes the whole device to lag up, audio go out of sync, and remote barely works. Also when using plex the subtitles sometimes don't work and I need to restart the device.

My primary usage is plex 65% of time, Netflix 20%, tivimate 10%, and 5% other (YouTube, etc).

I would ideally also want a remote that has IR and can control Soundbar speakers and tv power.

I was debating between the Nvidia shield pro and chromecast with google tv 4k. I used to have the shield 2017 version and loved it, however I am worried to spend a lot of money when a newer model may be around the corner. The google chromecast is much cheaper and some argue performs similarly for streaming.

Any recommendations?

Okay here goes I just found this on sale at a out of town walmart about 20 miles from where I live and grab the "Onn FHD Streaming Stick". Now here comes the problems:

(1) Should I create a new google account just for the device alone and then just use that one new email for all the streaming stuff.

(2) I currently don't have any free or paid for services I normally just watch TV shows and Movies on free streaming sites on my laptop. So now that I have this I would like to register for a few of these free apps and services and have my spare cellphone for this stuff also.

(3) I don't know of many free services or how to lock out services "Example: Since I'm a prime member I don't mind watching free TV shows included with prime or movies but if it was going to charge me I would like to know before I start to watch. Is there a way to lock things so I need to put in a code or pin before I can view select things.

(4) Smart TV's and devices are normally pretty smart but me not so much so I get a bit scared so I like to see how to set things up before I start using things just to make sure I don't end up spending money on the phone or device and not have the money to pay for it. That is another reason why I was thinking of starting a second email and account just for smart stick and second cellphone.

I'm considering picking up a Hisense U8H which uses the Google TV OS to replace my existing TCL smart TV that has the Roku OS. I watch a lot of Youtube videos and one of the biggest pain points I have is that I cannot control the speed of the Youtube videos (e.g., 1.5x, 2x speed). Can anyone share whether the Youtube App of Google TV OS (or whatever is on the Hisense TV) has speed controls?

Hello all, just got my first Android TV, and i was watching Disney + and noticed that the Subtitile Font Menu is missing on this TV. Does anyone know how to change the font? tv is a Philips Oled 707/12. Thank you

I have a googleTV device running on a 2017 Samsung TV. In the last few months all of YouTube is slightly zoomed in. I watch a lot of gaming videos so I notice it. Any game video that has information on the edges of the screen is cut off.

I have searched everywhere to find an answer. There aren't any settings that I can find in thr YT app or on the TV menu and nothing else seems to be affected by it other than YouTube and only while playing videos. The YouTube App menu is fine, edge to edge.

So I’ve had android tv before and it would do like some gradient over the focused app with randomly picked colors and now I got a Philips Ambilight something tv that runs android tv 11 and it’s not doing the colors thing also there are no updates available latest update was on 12 dec or smth

Is there a limit for 8tb drives? Is there any other limit regarding exfat, ntfs etc? Can't get my WD 8tb to connect. Any help is appreciated.

Glitchy pixelated video playback. Only happens on video. Screen otherwise looks good on menus and Google TV home screens. Brand new Hisense 4k TV... Any help? Tried power cycling and factory reset...

Happens on apps, e.g. YouTube TV, YouTube, Prime Video, Netflix, Disney etc.

This is using the native Google TV built into the this 50" Hisense 4k TV.

Troubleshooting:

• Plex app played video well (interestingggg)

• Animated shows on Netflix are working but human actor content (lol) is experiencing the glitch (wow, this is odd).

• I even tested video within the browser on YouTube.com and it still experiences the problem! The video is glitchy but rest of browser Window content is good.

• I played a trailer off Google TV's movies section, and it actually played okay. But then when I tried to play the actual movie, glitchy pixelated screen.

• plugged in Nintendo switch to HDMI, that worked fine.

Hi! so i bought this samsung smart monitor for my secondary PC at a very good price thinking that if someday i replace the monitor for something better i still have a nice full hd tv... the thing is that samsung has Tizen and i have an android TV that i love. Most people will be fine with Tizen because it has netflix and common stuff of course, but im also an anime guy and Tizen doesnt fking has chrunchyroll... so im close to send it back... unless

Wondering if anyone is having this issue…

My internet is connected and works for all other devices; I even updated the software for the Android TV. Some apps can load content, but most time out and say that it cannot connect to server. Any troubleshooting tips? I have turned the device on and off multiple times unplugged it etc.

I'm looking for a universal RC that will work on my Nokia Streaming Box 8000. The remote that came included with it is great, but I'm a bit tired of using three remotes to control all my devices. Ideally, I need one that can be used to control 2 TVs and the Nokia device. Finding one that controls the TVs is not a problem but as the Nokia device's remote is connected through Bluetooth I have my doubts if a regular infrared remote will work on it. I had my eye on a One For All remote URC7955 sold at Amazon but I'm not sure if it will be able to control the Nokia. The URC7955 seems to be the more premium one from their remotes but I wouldn't mind a cheaper one as long as it controls all the devices mentioned above. Note: I have looked at One For All website to check their remote's compatibility with the Nokia device and it wasn't listed in their devices. So any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Like the title above. What I have tried: press the power button 2 seconds but only the restart option appears. Pressing the power + volume down button together doesn't work either. Does anyone have this stick and know how to take screenshot? It came with android tv 11.

Is this a common issue? I have a voice button on my remote that was working fine up until last week, now it seems like the feature is broken altogether.

So, i bought a Xiaomi TV stick that can turn your TV into an Android TV. The problem is, my TV doesn't have the sane HDMI as the stick, so i have nowhere to plug it into my TV. What do i do? Did i do something wrong?

I'm looking for a video player that will allow me to browse my video files, Mark files as seen and stave resume points and which videos have been watched, what player do you guys recommend? I coming from an old WDTV media player which was fantastic and had these options. Have trouble finding my files on MX player. Kodi and Nova player ar overcomplicated (have to go for each file individually and rename them, in order to be scraped from IMDb)
