Since updating to OS 12 I've been having issues with my Netflix app. Any time i go to play a new show or movie, i get an error. Only way to resolve the problem is by restarting google TV and relaunching Netflix. Any suggestions on how to resolve this? Anyone else having issues since updating their google TV?

Is the copy paste feature missing from android tv? How can I copy some text from the android tv keyboard to be pasted in some other app. Also, what is the best way to copy some text on my phone and paste it somewhere on my android tv.

I bought ePSXe and I'm really surprised how great it works on Mi Box S. However, I wanted to ask - is it possible that emulating PS1 games on Mi Box can be harmful for the device?

It gets warmer than when I stream videos on it. Is there any mechanism that prevent the box from overheating? I can't find any info on case like this but I'm still paranoid about it, I bought Mi Box for my wife so she can watch Netflix etc. and I'm afraid that I will ruin it for her by damaging the box.

I would be grateful to hear opinion of someone who knows more about this stuff. btw I'm emulating at internal 1x resolution, I prefer the original look.

I know it's hyper specific, but for a portable setup, I need an ATV box that can be powered by USB, but still has a full sized USB port for offline media playback off of external storage/HDD

When I Google "USB powered Android TV", I just keep getting those dongle products that have no USB input and are expected to be used exclusively as streaming hubs

I'd also be interested in playing SNES and GBA games on it, if it's powerful enough, but that's not a necessary function

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

After upgrading Chromecast with Google TV to version A12 I noticed that, probably due to scoped storage, I cannot write on internal storage. What I'm trying to achieve is transfer some fonts files so that MX Player can read them afterwards. Anyone knows how to bypass the aforementioned problem? Thanks in advance!

I have xiaomi tv stick, while YTkids are available in my country I didn't find it in Google store in android TV , I try sideloading it but I can't install it with ( isn't available in your country).. despite I can install on tablet or phone with the same Google account.

Hi all. Needing to replace the ageing Xiaomi Mi box at my parents. Is used for streaming Netflix, prime and a few other apps aswell as some Kodi plugins. My dad does have quite a bit of content on USB so the device will need USB aswell.

I initially came across the newer Xiaomi mi box S or mecool KM2 plus.

What should I be looking at without going up to NVIDIA shield pro price territory.

I have a Sony AndroidTV. When i open SiriusXM and go on a channel , it's always start the mix or the music at the begining. Is there a way to listen it Live ? I tried the Left and Right Arrow on my remote and went in SiriusXM menu but can't find anything.

Hi there. I recently bought a Xiaomi TV Stick, and wow it sucks. It's laggy, Hulu is practically unusable, and it keeps freezing. It started all of a sudden getting really hot and started bootlooping. So I returned it, explaining to the guy. He said okay, and told me to get another one. Same thing. So I'm returning my money tomorrow and hopefully going to get my money back. If you're looking into buying one of these, STEER CLEAR.

I used to have a smart tv in which in smart view it let me to share videos without mirrorcasting my phone and now with my android TV, I can only Google cast my phone so it's going to be shown on the tv everything that I'm doing on my phone but I just want to stream videos from my gallery to my android tv. I bought a new bluetooth remote for my Shield TV 2017. Pairing works fine the first time and the remote works as it should.

When I restart the Shield TV after turning it off, the remote doesn't reconnect to the Shield TV. Only after I manually paired them again.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows a solution?

Hello, I’ve got a xiaomi tv stick recently and it has this weird bug where my internet speed to google servers (stadia, YouTube and Play Store downloads for example) is PAINFULLY slow, google play downloads take forever and on Speedtest I get around 30Mbps, watching a YT video stats for nerds says the connection speed is 1200-1800Kbps. It’s super annoying, has someone experienced this?

I feel as though I should be linking each of the Google accounts on my Google TV device to their individual profiles in our Family Netflix account to ensure the personalised recommendations relate to the correct user. However… I cannot find a way to set the link. Grateful for any advice. Thanks.

I have a TV Box in my house main TV, it have many apps for tries to satisfy everyone (streaming, live TV, games...). Over time, the apps accumulating running in background, making the device so slowest as each person uses and back from sleep.

I would like apps to close when the device goes into sleep mode, and I need help as I have no idea how to do that.

My receiver wont accept HDMI inputs, only spdif/optical

So i need a tv box that have a spdif/optical output, it will go like this:

Tv box > Hdmi > television (for image)

Tv box > optical > receiver ( for sound)

Problem is Netflix have DD+ audio, so i would need something that could downgrade DD+ to DD before going through the cable, maybe the TV box itself could do it

What is the cheaper way to do this?

Not even a freestanding app on Android TV, just a tab in the YouTube app. Not even possible to background play, if you search for a song the one you are playing stops. Seriously? Is there any workaround for this? Sideloading the phone app or something? I'm using a Sony Tv and a Nvidia shield. Both running Android TV
