I have a 60" Vizio tv M series from 2014 (1080p). When I hooked up my shield tv on it the TV remote got disabled and/or the TV became very slow to respond.

So I can't turn off the TV, change the volume, and change the input channel.

Pretty much the TV gets stuck to android tv.

I don't know what's going on!

I've been an android fan for a few years now. I've been researching Android TV with its capabilities in streaming and some gaming. I even already purchased the gamepad. My question is whether I should just get the nexus player with the budget of around 50-80 or just go ahead and buy the Nvidia Shield TV. My intentions of getting something like these two devices is too mess around with emulators, steam some tv shows, maybe experiment with Kodi, and play some games with a gamepad casually. I guess ultimately my question is the Nvidia Shield TV worth it or am I fine with the nexus player at a cheaper price.

My other options are if Android TV isn't for me is to just buy the Nvidia Shield Tablet. I've tried searching for a post like this, but couldn't find much.

and chance that anyone can share the latest popcorn time apk for android tv? Ive tried a few but all of them don't seem to work

A few of the channels have always been wonky on plutoTV. Example being MST3000. I received an email today:

I submitted this bug report on the 15th, and 6 days later it was fixed. Would be nice if we could some how talk to the "right person" over at slingTV to implement live channels too!

I can't find how to access that option in it's settings for the life of me.

I have a Sony KDL55W800C. It comes with some USB ports. I can connect my HDD to it and read images, but there does not seem to be a way for me to record shows from my antenna. Does anyone know if this is possible?

It's been a while since I last signed into the play store. Now I'm trying to log in, and NoTouchAuthDelegate crashes every time. I've used my phone, laptop, and entered the password directly. After everything succeeds on the phone/laptop side, the process crashes on the Nexus Player.

I've cleared data on the Play Store and NoTouchAuthDelegate app. I've cleared the cache on Play Services. I've rebooted a number of times. And I'm really trying to avoid having to factory reset it. Any tips?

Hi, I just bought a sony bravia kd-49x8305c tv. The quality is great, but occasionally when I am playing ps3 or watching Sky the tv randomly goes to the home screen. The tv then shows a grey or black screen on each of the HDMI inputs and after going to the home screen and reselecting the HDMI input for 5-10 mins it eventually comes back. Does anyone else have this problem? Do I need to return the TV?

as the title says, i'd like to cast my tabs from my iOS devices to my tv. anyone had any luck with this? Other iOS apps work, (or rather, they launch the corresponding app on the tv and handoff)

I am not in the US, so I can't use the play store from my Shield TV to download it.

When I try to use one of those APK downloader sites, I can only find HBO Now for Android TV that is made for x86 devices (ie. Nexus Player) so it doesn't work on the Shield.
I've tried sideloading the regular version of HBO Now but it's really not optimized properly for a TV screen (meant for phones/tablets).

Can anyone please upload or put me in the direction of the HBO Now apk that runs on the Shield and is optimized for Android TV?

Good looking set but they are constantly confused when the tv turns on and it brings them to this tile screen as opposed to the evening news.

Any way you can disable this autostart and make it so the TV just turns on and goes right to the HDMI input?

Hey guys, hope this is the right sub to ask this in. I recently received a LeTV X3-55 television with Android TV. The OS is highly modified and does not include the play store, google services, or really any English apps. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get the play store, or even Netflix/Amazon Prime on this thing. I've tried installing multiple APKs for Google Services (each installed successfully, but Google services keeps crashing), Netflix (it plays video for a few seconds, then crashes), and the play store (installs, but obviously useless without Google services). Any help would be much appreciated, as there's next to no information on this TV.

I downloaded sideload launcher and then installed Skype as we do not have Skype app for android tv yet. Once I started the Skype app it asked me to enter my username, now this is when I was not able to get the onscreen keyboard. How do I enter my details so that I can login?

Is there a way to stop YouTube autoplay on the Android TV app?

I bought a 2015 Philips Android TV (49PUK7100) just because it was Android and thinking I would be free to install apps and have better experience.

But I learned that Philips removed the "Unknown Sources" setting and it's not possible to enable it. I wish Philips learns from it's mistakes, like trying to lock down Hue light bulbs etc.. They should embrace openness, that's what Android stands for. I recommend anybody who is searching for a new Android TV to look at Sony and don't even come close to Philips TVs.
