I'm looking for an app for my android tv which can stream torrents with custom subtitles of my choice. If possible the subtitles could be selected from my files

I downloaded Game Pass from Aptoide TV, and when I boot it, all my controls are changed into random buttons. My Y is now my A, for some reason R2 and L2 are Menu and X buttons. What's going on?

I'm currently looking for a new box TV cause I gave my Chromecast away.

I have a few things that I want the box TV to be able to do, which is:

Needs:

-Ethernet cable support (internet on my apartment is 300 mb); -Switch pro controller support; -Able to play xcloud/geforce now (even if I need to do some side loading on browser app); -Easy casting from Oculus Quest 2 to TV; -Compatibility with Alexa;

Plus:

-4k, the tv is old and 1080p; -reasonably cheap, since I can just buy a new smart tv; -Easily able to connect a soundbar or some audio devices;

I'm new in this world and there is so much to look for, any tips or suggestions are gladly welcome!

I have a cheap TCL 4 series that runs google TV. I find the TV and the OS really laggy, I have 3 other TCL tv's that run Roku and they are much better.

I use a CCWGTV as I believe it has superior performance. I would like the TV to turn on automatically to HDMI 1 and not the default home screen. I can not find a setting for this. I am using CEC, so when it works it eventually switches over to HDMI 1 but I am finding it pretty unreliable.

A friend of mine let me borrow her old Elfunk TV but the remote control has gone missing.

There's a bunch of TV on this universal remote thing but I have no clue which brand is compatible because Elfunk doesn't exist on any list.

Anyone has any clue? I have bought a Google Chromecast and evidently, you can control the TV with it but as mentioned - which tv brand is compatible?

aside from shield pro which android box do you suggest that wont break the bank. would probably like it if it came with a remote but can do without one if i can control it in other way.

At first I tried to choose PSP folder on start up, but I hit Ok button nothing happened so I skip, then I try to "browse" and nothing happen either, how can I choose my PSP game folder if Browse button do nothing?

We just switched from a Roku tv to a google tv. I didn't think about lack of customization in the decision because I wrongly assumed that anything coming out today would have plenty options for personalization and customization.

We are a family who likes to only use one profile and enable parental control / password for our young kids' access on things. With Roku that was fine because the home screen was just squares with apps on it, and a background theme that we chose. We could also choose a theme we liked for the screensaver. This time of year we'd be using something Christmasy looking.

We just set up this google tv last night, and I'm really bothered by the seeming inability to remove the ridiculous tv show ads that take up 2/3 of the screen. I've already put it on apps only, but that doesn't remove the obnoxious ad. We want one profile that will be usable for the whole family. Is that not possible on google tv? If not that seems incredibly ridiculous. I'd also like to know if there are any themes to choose from for screensavers, or if it's just the prepackaged sterile pictures that look like they belong in a doctor's waiting room.

Sorry if I sound negative. I'm just really frustrated. I feel like in this day and age there is abolutely no excuse for this lack of ability for users to customize to their own needs. If it matters for anyone who might have anything helpful to share, this is the tv we got

ETA so I think we're gonna use a usb to run roku OS through the tv cause these ads are just too much (unless anyone has a way to get rid of this on google tv). I don't know how people are okay with this giant billboard blaring into their livingroom.

As the title states we have a Google TV with chromecast on our bedroom tv,I prefer to use the digital remote which is tied up with the Google home app and Google TV app on IOS as we have a toddler who likes to hide remotes.

The problem I am having is a consistent re-pairing required between the Google TV Chromecast & the Google home app where a pairing code will come up on the screen and having to enter it into the remote app.

What am I doing wrong? I’ve tried removing all updates from android remote services on the chromecast as well as refreshing the apps,which will last for a little while but will always end back up with the same problem.

About a year ago there was a stand-alone Android remote app on the AppStore which worked perfect but has since lost support forcing us to use the built in one via Google Home & Google TV apps.

Please help it’s the smallest thing but it’s such a pain,comparing it to the Apple TV in the lounge is just a night and day difference,the Apple TV remote app always works with no problems whatsoever.

I'm facing an issue with Spotify. It just isn't opening anymore. Right after trying to start the app, it closes by itself.I have a MiBox S.

Last month I bought a cheap Chinese 4k android TV and for the last weeks it has been great.

However I recently bought a PS5 and it is basicly stuck at 1080p forever unless I restart the TV every time I want to game.

The only way I get the PS5 to output 4k to the TV is on the first time after a cold boot of the TV. At this state everything is working really well (4k HDR everything).

Now if I turn the PS5 off and power it on again, it reports it can only do 1080p and the option for 4k is greyed out and the only way to fix it is to reboot the whole TV.

As you could imagine this is totally driving me crazy. (By the way the same symptoms apply to other 4k capable devices such as a Fire TV Stick I had laying around)

The TV settings are also completely useless and there are no options regarding "UHD Color" or resolution.

If someone has any ideas on how to fix this I would be really happy.

Just to be clear I am well aware about ethernet. Is there anything else this community has found as a solution? I have two of these and one of them is just annoying af.
