Hello, I brought my mi stick tv with me to my brothers' as they wanted to test it. However, I forgot the remote. I tried using IR with the app called mi remote but it was unsuccessful. Anyone has some fix? Thanks

Looks like something changed, but usually my screen saver was showing a Google Photos album that I setup, but I don't have the option anymore.

No matter what resolution I select, I still get HDR. I see no way to turn off HDR. Any ideas?

My internet sucks, when watching youtube I'm limited to 1080/30, but sometimes not even that. I've recently heard about this av1 thingy, and it looks like just what I need to finally view content at 1080/60. Any cheap tv box that could do the job?

I need one with an usb port tho. If rarely, I still watch movies and shows sometimes.

I bought 2 cheap android TV boxes, one with android 12 and another with android 10, both have options for UHD 25, FHD 24 and so on but none was able to do FHD@25hz.

I need this for a special application, and downscalers etc are no use, it has to be highly mobile in the end and all run of a powerbank, those cheap boxes do what I want apart from the FHD 25hz thing, the shield pro sadly runs of 19V or something... the cheap boxes run on 5V which is much more useful to me.

I turn my tv on and it’s stuck on hdmi 3 for no reason at all and I can’t switch it to the Home Screen to go to other apps and it’s restarting every 5 minutes what do I do?

Hi guys! I want to buy an Android TV box, and I am thinking about buying from the Mecool brand. I need something that I can watch from external drive too [ HDD ]. Netflix is not important as of now, I am more interested in good video quality by the means of watching movies [ movie watching experience ]. I am thinking about either Km2 plus or K6 deluxe. Which one would you recommend? Thank you!

Thinking about the Xiaomi Mi Box S. I hear the shield dosent support a web browser.

My YouTube app on my TCL TV (Google TV) was working fine last week. Now I'm logged out and when I click the Sign In button in YouTube it just freezes the app. I have to press the home button to get out. Anybody experiencing the same problem? Note that I can use YouTube as a guest but it doesn't let me sign in.

I already tried clearing the cache and reinstalling YouTube.

So Walmart has the HD version for $18 cuz of Black Friday Specials. Wow is it laggy. I own 2 Onn Boxes and neither lag as much as this CcwGTV. Even going thru the Settings Options it lags, I find myself clicking on Options I didn’t want too because it can’t keep up with the animation…. Yes I also went into Developer Mode and changed some settings to make it faster but it didn’t help. Other users that have updated are experiencing the same thing. Also the Toggle Mouse doesn’t work if u Update to 12. I’m gonna keep it since it was cheap, but I’m sticking with my Onn boxes… Anyone else updated to Android 12 and experiencing lag??

I am considering buying a TCL TV that has the Smart Google TV OS. I think I will actually be chrome casting to my TV from desktop a lot for my own viewing purposes.

Wondering what the difference is between the TV's built in OS of Smart Google TV vs the Chromecast with Google TV HD/4k device. Are the functionalities the same?

Would the built in OS support the same "4k" streaming capabilities as the Chromecast with Google TV 4k, does this even matter for my use case?

When i turn on the tv the philips logo and the android logo come up and then turns black and does it again. I thought it might be something to do with the led lights took them off still had the same problem. I tried downgrading it same problem. I tried the latest update same problem. I’ve seen other people use wipedatatool but it doesn’t support QM16 ( i tried to look for it but couldnt find it). One thing i did notice is that theirs a red light flashing which i have no clue to what it means. I hope someone can help me

Currently running Kodi 19.3 on my Mi Box 4K and use it solely to stream 4K content through add-ons.

This is all I need the box to allow me to do; launch an add-on in Kodi, authorize RealDebrid, select an add-on, launch a stream and go. Preferably work with my TV's remote through CEC. I need it to play ball with my 7.2 Denon x2600h AVR (ARC) and cinema setup that supports Atmos, DTS, TrueHD and God knows what else. My panel is a recent 4K 65" LG OLED.

It works on my Mi Box (mostly), but it's sluggish to the point of frustration. It plays 4K HDR streams MOST of the time without too much hassle; I just have to be patient to get to a stream. It also has the tendency to freeze every now and then, and sometimes has handshake issues with my LG OLED and Denon x2600H AVR. While a(nother) reboot often fixes this, the whole ordeal is anything but smooth.

I have been looking at upgrades, and haven't really found a clear answer apart from "just get a Nvidia Shield Pro 2019". Is this the only upgrade path? I only need it to run Kodi streams, so I was thinking that maybe a Shield is overkill. It costs €200+ here as well.

I don't mind tinkering a little, but I'd rather not faff about with an Odroid N2+ or Pi4, unless it's definitely worth it over a Shield.

My mother frequently asks me to download episodes of shows that aren't on their subscription services and they then play this back on their TV. However this is an older 1080p TV and I'm struggling to find h264 content these days. With Christmas coming up I thought I'd get them a simple android TV box to make my life a bit easier lol. I'm thinking under £50, can stretch to 60.

I have a LG WebOS tv that comes with a remote that you can just point at the tv to use it as a cursor. Is there an android tv device that comes with a similar remote?

Hi all: my setup at home is Vu Android tv panel + MeCool Android TV Box. the Vu panel doesn't have hdmi self adaption feature in it, but mecool box has. so when i turn the setting on in the mecool box - i presume it matches the fps of playback content with fps of mecool box ? but the Vu Tv doesn't have hdmi self adaption feature in it, so does turning on the feature in mecool box help ?
