Hey everyone. When I put in a USB drive to my Hisense A6H, it says it's corrupt and needs to be formatted. When I do that, I can access it through system settings, but it doesn't show up in any file explorer. And if I eject it and plug it back in, it still says it's corrupt. Any ideas? Tried it with two different USB sticks.

I remember someone here posted an app they developed that let you switch resolution and refresh rate on the fly / automatically (as opposed to going through the menu every time). I forgot what the name was and can't find it again. Can someone help?

The AndroidTV dongle that came with my Epson projector keeps forgetting the WiFi password every time I restart the device. After I manually type in the password again, everything works fine. It's very annoying. I already talked to Epson, they sent me a new dongle which works fine until some random update is installed, then the same thing happens again. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just purchased a Chromecast with Google TV (HD) in Canada. Everything went fine with the install but there are a bunch of streaming services I don't have subscriptions to and never will so I uninstalled them under Settings. Primarily Apple TV and Netflix. Once they uninstalled I restarted the Chromecast and went back under settings to confirm they were gone. "Yes" they gone however under the "Apps" tab the huge Apple TV tile is still there and more frustratingly it's first one and I keep accidentally clicking on it. How do I remove this? I thought it would be removed when I uninstalled the app. I would even be happy if I could move it but I can't. I can only move the smaller tiles under "My apps" below these large tiles.

I checked under settings for anything related to these tabs and optimizing them but couldn't find anything. Is there a cache under the Android apps section I need to clear (although I would've thought restarting the Chromecast would reset all caches)?

Also, is there a way to make the "Apps" tab my default tab when I hit the "Home" button on the remote? Current it defaults to "For you".

Right now they cost as much as a new Chromecast. I could buy those, keep the remotes and give mine away. But that seems ridiculous

Issue is resolved. My Indian payment method now expired in the saved cards. So the account and play store some how reverted to US region. I had to add an Indian payment method again to switch to India playstore.

Shitty thing from Google that they won't let us switch region as we like.

I have a Google TV stick. I've turned off auto-play trailers and auto-play previews with sound. The Google TV is in Apps Only mode.

What happens is that after watching a YouTube video, it will go back to the YouTube homescreen. If you let it sit idle for long enough, it will eventually start auto-playing one of the recommended videos as a preview on the homescreen without anyone having selected it.

Is there any way to turn this behavior on the Google TV YouTube app off?

Heyo, having some juttering issues every 5 seconds ish while streaming 4k sports in an application on my tv. I've narrowed it down (after a lot of testing) to the app running the stream in 50 hz, while my tv probably is doing 60 hz(?).

This is a norwegian app, called TV2 Play.

I'm trying to figure out if I can change the refresh rate on the tv to match the application, but can't even find it in the developer settings.

Any tips to deal with this?

Can someone who has a Google TV tell me if you can watch videos on panopto with it?

My university uses it but the cast function is not available. I want to be able to watch while taking notes on my phone so casting the screen won't work.

I run a few IPTV subscriptions - is an Android tv the best for doing so? The only app I really need to run is Tivimate and perhaps another player. I have ‘downloader’ app also which allows me to add other apps. My Sony Bravia absolutely refuses to hook up automatically to Ethernet and I’m ready to garbage it. Everyday it’s a struggle - restart tv - reboot modem - this that and the other thing. So what tv should I be looking at to avoid this nonsense? Don’t know if the flair is appropriate but that’s what I used.

Where do I even start? This thing had the potential to be fantastic, and to be honest, it should be. But there are so many things wrong with it, which should not ever have been any problems at all.

• I thought I could add a hub, stick in an SD card, and be able to save films and shows to it, and just play them on GoogleTV. Yet even trying to get it to recognise it is so painful. Set it up as internal or external USB, it doesn't matter, I can't make use of the 250GB I've got there.
• I managed to get some files onto the Chromecast itself, via WiFi transfer. But I cannot get them onto the SD card, no matter how hard I try. I also however cannot delete them from the Chromecast! They are taking up space, and when I try to delete them, it just tells me "unable to delete some documents". In what universe can I not delete files from my own device???

I had imagined I could stick in an SD card and then just play files from it, just like you can do from a phone. And yet that seems to just not be possible. For absolutely no reason that I can understand. What a complete an utter joke.

Just got a 2022 Sony x85.

The YouTube app doesn’t allow you to change playback speed (option doesn’t appear anywhere). Tried uninstalling it, updating etc, nothing has worked.

Anyone else encounter this or know of a fix?

Hey everyone! Got my C725 today and after a very rough experience on first setup checked to see v197 firmware installed, which was OLD. I updated to v501 and the Google TV itself became much more stable and usable, but I'm having huge problems with MEMC and Image Brightness jumping all over the place when displaying Dolby Vision content. After reading for a bit it seems v501 wasn't actually meant for C725, and I'm at a bit of loss.

Anyone with a little more expertise in the field can tell me what is the latest most stable C725 firmware version? I don't care about having to setup everything again.

Firmware is R51MT05.

I am sure it's been asked a million times, I searched but couldn't find anything.

The Internet update doesn;t work for some reason and I can't find files to download online, anyone can help me? I want to update my TV from Android 9 to 11 but there's nothing :(

Recently added USB as extra storage for my Google TV OS. Ever since then powering up seems a long drawn-out process with the TV often starting out from the Google bootup splash screen. A helpful user on the Bravia sub has commented it may be to do with slow usb r/w speeds but also wanted to check in this sub.

I don’t really know too much about Android TV’s what’s so ever, but do know like the Nvidia Shield Pro is the best out there, assumingly.

My use case would be mainly using one of these devices to stream my computer over the Internet to it to play games. Time to time I would play maybe the occasional game directly on it, something with a little horsepower on the side would be nice, but I don’t care as much if it’s good at having low internet latency and not a total power beast.

I tried things like Google TV with Chromecast built-in, and the lag is horrendous, even when using adapter for ethernet, on apps like Steam Link and Moonlight. I have pretty decent Wi-Fi, and all my other devices work well streaming. I do have a laptop that’s pretty good with streaming that has a HDMI out that I can use with a TV, but I don’t always have access to it, and a smaller arm device seems like it would be more efficient and quicker to use.

Can you guys please suggest the best Android TV’s to get for local PC streaming? Preferably under $100. If you guys could tell me what to look toward too, any advice would be appreciated.
