My aunt loves to have the TV on all day in the background. She has probably 5-10 shows that she likes to watch/let play rerun episodes. She used to watch these on a TV channel, but she can't get that channel anymore, or really any TV channels right now.

The logical solution is to play whatever shows she wants on the smart TV, but she absolutely cannot work the remote. Endless tutorials have been given. She can watch it only if someone sits with her and operates the remote for her.

So I would really like to find an app on their smart TV (which has the Google Play Store) that will autoplay a selection of random episodes from chosen TV shows. I would like for someone to be able to turn on the TV for her, open the app and press play.

Does anyone know of an app like this?

Additionally, if anyone knows of a Jitterbug (the cell phone for older people) type universal remote, that might help. Something ridiculously simple with big buttons for Netflix, Hulu, etc. I don't think this would solve it entirely, because she would still have to deal with the app interfaces. But it might help.

Anybody have a known-good USB-C dock they'd recommend for Chromecast (+ Google TV) with an inbuilt Ethernet port and at least one USB-A port?

So the NFL has their new NFL+ streaming option, but it's only available on mobile. Anyone try sideloading it on Android TV and see if they can watch games?

I hope you can help me with my problem. So im running two LG TVs one is from 2019 and one ist from 2017. The Problem is, that an app i want to install is only available for devices of 2019 and after. Is it possible to transfer the app from my new device to my older one both of the are running the same software just a different production year.

So i own a Sony Bravia Android TV.

I remember maybe like a few years ago, before like the newer updates, if I Hold like the Home Button app on my remote, its shows like the recents apps used and I had the options to close/refresh each of those apps.

After the newer updates, they remove that option, holding the Home Button on my remote does something else completely now. Im wandering if there is like a hidden button or something to be able to refresh apps. Its because I use Netflix and I tend to switch countries with my VPN to see other catalogueand its very annoying the fact that I have to like hold press the netflix app, click on info and then force stop and confirm each time i switch servers so that the Netflix app refreshes and shows the catalogue according to the country i set my vpn to.

Any other advice?

Researching around, I see the Walmart Onn for $20, the Google TV with Chromecast for $40, and a few others if anyone can recommend them.

I want to emulate games decently on them (PS1, Nintendo, Sega, Steamlink, Game Pass, N64), view my Nest cams, YouTube and Netflix HDR. I do notice the Google Chromecast has a slightly better chip, and the same amount of ram.

Which device would be best for this without too many issues?

I'm using the CCWGTV (Chromecast with GoogleTV) for over a year now and am pretty happy with it. I installed multiple apps (Mouse for AndroidTV, Background Apps & Process List, Send Files To TV, Nebula Manager, ...) to increase it's usefulness. But I'm not very happy with the default launcher. Because I don't need the "mediatgek" or the recommendations. I just need a easy way to sort my apps (maybe even with folders) and see ALL the apps (also the side loaded ones). So I'm looking for a good launcher. What Launcher for GoogleTV/AndroidTV would you recommend?

So I recently got a $20 dollar Walmart Onn box and so far I'm loving it besides the occasional freeze I've experienced (still working out the cause)

I'm interested in trying pair a full sized remote to make it feel more like a standard Cable Box and that's when I stumbled upon the DirecTV Stream device and it's remote. I know that the Stream Device runs a modified version of the Google Android Tv firmware so I was thinking that maybe I could pair it's remote to my Onn Box.

Has anyone had any experience pairing the DirecTV Stream remote to an Onn Box or similar?

Hi, I have a Mi box S in India connected with a VU LED Smart tv. Isaac's seen some TVs (Samsung Qled, LG 43" LED) play hotstar contents like a 60fps video. But, I am unable to see the same on my tv.

Can someone please tell me the reason? Is it bcoz of HDMI cable or port or due to lack of software?

I can connect to it via Google Home as a cast device and cast to it fine, but when trying to connect the Google TV app I just get nothing. I have not been able to dig up anything with others having the issue.

Did anyone experience your Samsung TV going extremely slow after connecting a Samsung SSD via USB and than TV completely freezes to a point of having to shut it down and turn it on again? My other SSD from Sandisk works perfectly with the Tv but Samsung (ironically the same brand as the TV itself) turns my TV to shit. Any advice?

I see many preferring using ethernet for their TVs and streaming boxes, like it's a deal breaker if they don't have them. My wifi gives me 100% of my internet capacity (~125mbit) and I don't have any problems that I'm aware of. Is there a difference in loading time with wifi or something like that?

I have been trying to get my Onn Android Box work with ScrCpy with no avail. When I can connect it, it just shows a blank screen on ScrCpy. When it did show me what's on my box it does not sync with the activity when I do an action with ScrCpy. Any fixes?

I have a brand new Android TV and in enjoying it so far, i have Netflix, Prime, HBO, etc and would love to be able to browse everything i have, inside a single app, without having to jump from individual apps every time. Is there an app that does that?

I think Google TV does that but sadly, that doesn't work in my device, It keeps crashing and it ignores Prime and Netflix.

I am hopeful that you knowledgeable experts will have some advice for what I should do in my situation.

• I would like to have 4 TVs that can play the same Youtube video in sync through a WiFi network.

• I have two existing TVs, which do not have AndroidTV. If it is possible to just add a chromecast to them, that is what I would prefer. I can purchase all TVs new if required for integrated AndroidTV.

• I would prefer to use a WiFi connected laptop to control the Youtube videos. I have an iphone, if a phone must be used to accomplish this. I am open to buying an Android tablet if that is also required.

Can I utilize AndroidTV to accomplish what I have described above? If not, do you have any suggestions that would work wirelessly?
