Hey -- I use a streaming stick for a bit of a unique use case - I travel a lot and I like watching netflix in hotel rooms and I like the convenience of not having to use my laptop.

I saw the netflix annoucement of offline saving, which would be great because of the often terrible wifi at hotels.

Could some kind redditor see if the netflix offline feature works on AndroidTV - shield or mi box? Thanks much

Is it normal for my sideloaded apps to now show on homescreen? But i also notice that some pre installed apps don't even show in the homescreen when I looked at the apps section in the settings.

I am trying to find a list of android TV boxes that can run Kodi as well as the Netflix App in HD and eventually 4K. I know Nvidia Shield is the best, but what other boxes can I get at a lower price point?

I have a Sony x800d with Android TV. Since you can't have 2 Google accounts on it I temporarily switched to a different Google account to access the US play store and download some apps. Now that I'm back to my main account will those apps receive automatic updates even though they were downloaded by a different account? After all they weren't sideloaded so automatic updates from the play store should work.

Can someone pull the APK so we can try it out on our ATV devices?

I am using a 64gb sandisk sdcad with a micro sd card reader. When I put it in for the first time, It asked me if I wanted to make it my internal storage. I said yes followed by a format. Then it gave me "Unfortunately, settings has stopped." after I said yes to the migrate my data to my microsd card.

Any fix for this? Thanks in advance. I am loving the box so far.

Hey folks I've only seen blips of this mentioned elsewhere so hopefully a new post on this will bring some useful info:

I have the MiBox 3 from Walmart and I love the thing for most of everything (interface and speed of it wowed me) except I can't get Netflix to stream without the dreaded "we're having trouble playing this video" or whichever way it's phrased error popping up after about 15-30 seconds.

I tried factory resets, reinstalling Netflix, attaching the box to a different HDMI port on the TV, rebooting the modem and router, changing to the 2.4ghz channel, but all to no avail. Casting it to the box instead of using the app results in the same. My Chromecast works fine doing that. If I can't get this resolved I'll unfortunately have to return it as Netflix is a lot of what I d want to use it for.

Anyone else having the same issue or have any suggestions?

I just bought mine from Walmart and I was surprised that it only has a: Power output one USB 2.0 output hdmi output and aux output. How the heck am I supposed to connect this thing to my pc? And why is it also lacking micro USB support? -__-

How does Android TV behaves when you turn on the television? Can Android TV automatically appear on screen after launch, or you have to set a specific source on TV (such as viewing content of a connected HDD) to launch Android TV?

So I'm looking for an app that let's you quickly switch between different DNS addresses. I tried sideloading a couple of apps but, even though they are working, they don't support android TV horizontal screen so I have to navigate it with the screen turned sideways on the TV. Do you know any app compatible with aTV?
