My Mi Box keeps randomly attempting to pair to my phone when I'm not using it. I checked the settings and there's no option to stop this. There are days where it doesn't happen at all but it really annoying. Anyone else experiencing this?

I use my PS4 to watch video files. I chuck the files on a usb then plug it into my PS4 to watch them. My PS4 is now dying - can I do this with the Mi Box and does it play the same (more or less) video formats as my Playstation?

Hey All!

Looking for a little help. I own two Miboxs, which have been very kind to me for the most part. One of them is fully functioning, including all of the Google home voice cammands and such.

The other, not so much. I am unable to turn on any voice commands or add the device to my home inside the Google Home app. All apps are updated and is running the same exact build as the other Mibox. All I get are errors about not being able to link my account or connect to my home.

Does anyone have an idea for a solution to this?

I have an Nvidia Shield, I don't use it because it doesn't work properly. I'm very disappointed by it. With that being said, what I need is a box that will play 4k movies, shows, videos, x265 10bit. I download my sources, and have an external USB which I put the file on, then I would like to just plug the USB(3.0) into the box and watch what is on the USB. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Slow couple days at work so I brought in my Android TV to watch the Toronto Raptors parade. In all my glory I didn't bring the remote control. Any ideas on how to connect my Samsung phone to the box to control it?

Have a mi box 3 and love it... the only issue i have is where it simply won't wake after a day of use with the included remote... (have tried button mashing, waiting 5 secs and hitting power button etc)

Is there a 3rd party remote that works as i believe its the remote not responding instead of the box itself

OR is there a way to permanently leave the box on?

I use Smart YouTube TV, and I noticed that long press became available. That was awesome, something I've been looking forward to. But a few days ago, The Long press feature disappeared. It isn't on smart YouTube TV or the regular YouTube app. What happened?

I get 60 fps from the Youtube app, but i haven't found a setting for framerate output in any app I've tried so far (GSE, Kodi, IPTV Pro, IPTV Extreme, MX Player & Perfect Player) which is quite frustrating. Is there any app who at least can offer a setting of framerate output?

EDIT: I found a setting in Smart IPTV, but changing the framerate to 60 didn't change anything although I'm 100% certain the stream is in 60 frames per second. Why is this?

- I wanna buy a Android box in order to subscribe to a IPTV service. I remember few decades ago i used to have a satellite box and i could inject the signal in my home coaxial system, under a predetermined frequency, using my video recorded for example (scart connection).

That was particularly useful in order to share a specific channel trough the whole house.

1. Is it possible to do the same using a Android Box (while keeping a good image quality of a HD channel)?
2. Is there a RF Modulator for High Definition?

My house has a coaxial system with analogical and digital channels from my internet provider - optical fiber.

Can you also suggest me a good price Android TV box for iptv and media in general? Mi Boxs are wireless and i cba to buy an adapter for them. I was thinking about Mecool KM9 (considering Netflix is not a priority right now).

I wanted to clean up some of the clutter on my Bravia home page so I force stopped both Sony Select and Sony Shelf. Now I realise that BBC iPlayer was included in Sony Select (I think). I tried to restore both but they seem to be gone from my home page. How do I bring it back? Is there a way to refresh without a factory reset?

I have 2 mibox 3's. I have them set up the same way. Before any updates I have always factory reset before and after the update on both. One of the boxes works pretty good. It still takes 10 to 15 seconds to wake up but works ok. The other box takes longer to wake up and is basically unusable ( laggy stuttering mess) until I restart the box. After I restart it works similar to the other box. Do you think we will see any more updates to this box? Anyone have any ideas of things to change in my settings so I don't have to restart the box every time? Thanks.

My Plex Media Server is on a hard wired Win 10 NUC and I have the Plex app installed on my Bravia. I can go to Plex and play shows but the shows showing on my home page say, "Can't open this right now" and won't play. Is that a setting somewhere?

As in title, I'm a bit concerned this thing doesn't have a turn off button.

It's not like tablets (even my own Shield tablet) that actually do turn off cold (even cold in sleep mode) so why is my ShieldTV always warm? Because it's plugged in electricity? This surely can't be good for the long term?

Since there is no other way to wake it from sleep mode than keeping it plugged in (I turn all my stuff on/off trough Shield remote CEC), and I wouldn't even mind waiting for the boot time, but there just doesn't seem to be a way to do it without pulling the cable in & out, is there?

It's really a strange why they did this I don't quite understand.. Why not just give us a power off and power on for the remote.

Hello there, I've got a TCL 40A325 (which I assume that is a Mexico-only model because I haven’t found any review of it yet), it runs Android TV 8 and seems like a pretty decent TV for the price (at least in my country).

My problem is that when it turns on (only when plugging in the power, or after a power outage) instead of booting into the Android TV home interface, it goes straight into the TV app from TCL (the one with the red logo, not the Google Live Channels). Is there any way to stop this from happening?

Bonus problem: I installed Google’s Live Channels and it works wonderfully for IPTV (with TVirl) but when I change into the cable channels (NTSC, I know, my provider is ancient) the screen turns black for that channel (but sometimes they do work normally), what the hell could be happening?, is the analogue support in Live Channels kinda spotty?

I have tried to play a 4K movie on my P55-f1 from the Play Movies And TV app and cant get it to display in 4K HDR. I have tried casting to my tv, playing through the app on mibox, casting to mibox, playing on youtube on mibox, playing through smart youtube app, and all the same on my ADT-2 device.
