Hi, this post is a follow up to another i created earlier:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/avcn2x/mi_box_s_to_play_4k_remux_over_ethernet_buffer/
I had trouble playing 4k movies over the ethernet with a UGreen 1000mbps adapter. After some investigation and tests, it turns out the problem came from the adapter capping the connection to ~60mbps DOWN. I'm unsure if this is normal on a USB 2 port considering the theoretical speed is 480mbps.
If any of you use an ethernet adapter, what is your connection speed ? Should i replace my adapter ?
Thx in advance ! :)
EDIT: I didn't even think of trying wifi as i was sure playing 4k movies wifi wasn't even worth trying. And yet ditching the ethernet is a semi-solution. Over wifi i have a local speed of 120 mpbs down and 140 up. Movies still buffers but way less (maybe once every 10min ?). I still think ethernet should be faster if anyone can test there local speed with this adapter it would help thx !
So I have all 3 devices, all mibox has problems with anti-aliasing on text/subtitles/logos/video/streams etc.. i get my iptv from my own home via HDhomerun expand box that provides me up to 4k quality from my TV provider via coax tv installation, it does not matter if its sd/720/1080p or even 4k its all jagged
Nvidia shield does not suffer from this problem, anybody else regonizing this problem? its jagged, subtitles, icons on shows its very easy to see when you are close to the screen.
Here is comparision
Left Side Mibox S/Mibox 3 - VS - Right Side nVidia Shield. Missing AA MSAA?
My Title is kinda misleading because its not only IPTV streams being affected, its in general overall for the device.

And for all the people who wants to argue, and think they know what they are talking about.
