Updated my XBR-55X700D and now I am unable to control volume. The slider goes up and down but nothing changes. I can set to zero or mute and still hear sound.

I tried all the sound options, unplugging the tv and letting it rest, and a factory reset but no go.

Anyone have a miracle for me?

Hi, I would like to ask few questions, I have Mi Box S for few months now and it sometimes turns on by itself in the morning, TV and Mi Box has CEC enabled, so both are turned on. And I have a mouse wirelessly connected to it and when I move the mouse or press button on the mouse (e.g. while I clean my room) then Mi Box turns on. I can't turn off the mouse, it turns off itself after few minutes of inactivity. It is possible to prevent such things?

I found few archived posts about similar issues, but there was no answer that would solve the problem.

And, I have Puffin TV browser installed (I didn't found a better browser for Android TV, if you know, please let me know) where I watch videos on one website (no adult content, about cars) and they have videos on openload, but openload has own popup ads, but mostly for adults (I'm not sure if I can type p*rn here :) ), hardcore, you know, I can't play those videos when I have people around me. So is there any way how to block those kinds of ads? I don't have problem with popup ads, but why they have ads for adults?

Hey guys, need a little bit of assistance. I’ve got some huge 4K movies on my external hard drive which is formatted to NTFS. But the MiBox does not read it. Any workaround?

It's all in the title. I'm using a MiBox S with a USB/ethernet adapter which i thought would allow me to play 4k remuxes (~60GB) over the ethernet with no buffer on Kodi. Turns out it buffers quiet a lot. I'm pretty much out of options here, and i'm considering trying to up the default cache in Kodi.

EDIT: Tried upping the cache, problem still here :/

EDIT2: Forgot to mention, the file is played locally through SMB protocol

EDIT3: On recomendation from u/pechius i tested the local speed connection with iperf, results are DOWN=58mbbps UP=154 ; Kinda weird results and to sure how to solve it :/ My adapter is the UGreen 1000mbps, seemed reccommended a lot for the Xiaomi Box

The issue where if let Mibox sleep for overnight it doesn't wake up. Sometimes soaking the power/menu button does wake it up but 30% of the times nothing does and I have to reboot by manually pulling the power cord

I mean overall, how responsive and lag-free is it? Should I expect an interface similar to Moonlight on my phone? How does the controller work, is it recognised as an Xbox controller in all games? Is aiming for 1080p 60fps unrealistic? Sorry for the onslaught of questions, just need to know if it will work flawlessly since it's the key reason I'm interested.

I just got a Google Home and I've been trying to get it to work with my Xaomi Mi Box. It does work with Netflix, but for YouTube it looks like its going to work, but then she says something like "SOrry, something went wrong, please try again".

Any idea what I can try do to make this work?

Seeing as TVs are virtually all smart and connected to Netflix, plex, Hulu, etc these days. Why hasn't Google put more effort into the Android TV UI?

There is sooooo much potential there, but it's abysmal. I actually think the propriety TV UIs like Samsung's Tizen and Web OS are better... And Im usually a huge Google fan

I mostly listen to music on my Android TV and I noticed that recently the chromecast slides have been showing Chris Redeker's photographs only. Is that normal?

One of the slides is a pink pyramid in between flowers/grass.

Ever since the latest android TV update for my Philips 43PUS6401 (says version 8.0.0 in settings) i've had an intermittent problem with both kodi and netflix not playing the video just sound, its usually fixed by rebooting the tv, but its pretty annoying. I can get round a reboot on kodi by turning off hardware acceleration, then the video appears, but the video isn't as smooth.

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or if my tv has a GPU fault or something

I have a Mi Box S, I use it with a projector. I connect my android tv by wifi to a TP-Link Router configured like Access Point. The wifi works fine all the time, but the problems come when I want to watch something in the Mi Box.
When I'm watching a YouTube video or a Netflix Tv Show, my wifi stops working in all of my devices. The ethernet works fine, it's only a wifi problem. This only happen with this device.
Does someone know why this is happening?

Has anyone had hdr working on mi box 4 or 3 or s?

Bought it because it supports vp9 profile 2. YouTube does not trigger hdr..has it ever?

Smartyoutubeapp works, but I like casting and it won't cast to that by default.

I know the shield does not do YouTube hdr. No vp9 profile 2. But thought the mi box did.

Not that there is much hdr content.

On another note, when casting to YouTube, I have no controls on the TV remote and have to use my phone.?! My TV allows both. Does the shield do the same?

I'd like to buy an Mi Box as a secondary box for an old RCA input TV (just netflix).

Suggestions as to which version and which site to order from (and best price!) I don't mind waiting :)

I have my Jetstream 4k box connected to my Sharp 4k TV. Box detected resolution at 4k so it defaults to that setting. The only thing is that the clarity looks sharper at 1080p (no soft edges around lettering) then at the 4k setting. I have it switched to 1080p for now because it just looks better. Anyone else have that experience? Seems to me it should be the same or sharper at 4k then at 1080p.

Hi, i'm using Mi Box 3 and connect to my old Altec Lansing FX5051 in stereo mode via stereo jack..

I know my speaker is still good in sound when i'm using it to my my PC.. the bass kick, explosion sound etc really superb

but when i connect it to my Mi Box its sound dull, like under power.. High and mid range i think ok, but low range really under power.. it also not really loud, already turn the volume knob already at the end, and need to turn up the volume at mibox volume also so so...

Is there any amp can i use to power this speaker?

Looking for some advice, I have a Xiomi MiBox 3 and I was looking to get the amazon Ethernet adapter and noticed both a 2.0 and 3.0 adapter.

I’m assuming the MiBox USB is 2.0?

Also if I have a 300 mbps connection can I get the full speed from a 2.0, what I’m reading is 2.0 can deliver up to 100mbps and 3.0 delivers 1000 mpbs.

So if that’s the case no matter what hard working the MiBox won’t get me my full internet speed?

As the title suggests I have an issue where my son is watching his shows on Netflix and it will randomly switch to my user profile. Been happening now for a couple of days.

Unable to reinstall app due to it being inbuilt with the tv (designated netflix button on remote).

Tried clearing cache and data. Switching tv on and off.

Please help.

I was getting so frustrated with my MI Box (had it for around 3 years love it) because Netflix would keep giving me strange errors. I reset my Mibox and it would fix it for the day but the errors would pop up again. Frustrated, I reformatted my MI box thinking it would fix the issue. It did not. I went on Netflix support with my error and one of the solutions was to log out and log back in. The thing about my Netflix app was I never had to sign in, it had some kind of Google smart login and I could just click my email. I think that is what was causing errors! So anyways, I signed out and signed back in (manually not Google smart login) and no errors for a week so far!

My Sony 900x doesn't show channel list on fullscreen. The tv conent is showing properly on full screen. Does anyone have experience in tweaking settings so the channel browsing is also full screen?
