I managed to turn the Wi-Fi back on a few times by turning it off and on again. But it only works 1/10 times. Resetting the modem doesn't work. I'm not tech savvy at all, so I don't know what else to try. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly before this update. Any suggestions?

So, I recently got a 4k TV (Vizio P55-F1) and the NVIDIA Shield. For the resolution on the Shield, I have it set to 4K 59.940Hz. This, as I can tell, causes a 4k resolution to always be sent to the TV. Even when playing a 720p video, I can hit the info button on the TV and it shows 2160p. Is there any way to change this? Should I just leave it and continue to have the Shield upscale everything? I thought my TV would do a better job, but I am not sure. Any suggestions?

I've a MiBox intl that I've been using for a while, latest stable update. Recently bought a Mini Toslink to Toslink cable and connected to my speaker system since I'm currently using box connected to a monitor instead of tv.

I don't see a SPDIF digital output option in sound settings, only PCM and AUTO. I thought SPDIF would pop up as option, is this gone because of updates?

Edit : I actually get sound output on my speakers but wanted to know if I'm losing out on better audio cuz of mi box missing the setting

So I can bluetooth connect my ps4 controller to my android tv.. but if I press digital I cant bring back the home menu to navigate to any other apps...

I'm at the end of my tether.... Everything I stream on my shield buffers really bad. I unplug everything and plug it into my fire TV box which works flawlessly. What am I missing? Is there some setting I need to change or do I just sell the bloody shield?

I'm thinking about getting an ATV box but through all my research I can't find whether the new boxes integrate cable TV as well as apps.

What I loved about the Revue was that it compiled your options from everywhere including what was on live TV.

I already have a Roku and a Chromecast, I don't want to get an ATV box if it is just going to be another way for me to access apps on my TV. I'm looking for something that will overlay a UI over live TV while giving me access to all my streaming apps.

Any suggestions?

I've been pondering getting a receive of some kind (probably Denon) for better audio quality than what my LG TV speakers can do. Right now the NVidia Shield is connected to the TV and turns it on and off, too. It's used mostly for Kodi and Netflix, occasionally Amazon Prime Video and StbEmu.

Because there's almost always a catch somewhere, things don't always 100% work together as expected, I want ask the hive mind if they've done this and what I need to look out for, what didn't work for you

Like maybe the Shield doesn't play well with a receiver's remote control, or don't put it on an ARC port but a normal HDMI is fine. I'd rather know too much than nothing and feel I wasted the money.

My coworker just bought a Jetstream device and it looks really cool, but it doesn't have Dolby Vision. Same with the nVidia Shield.

Am I missing anything? Is there really no Android TV box that has Dolby Vision?

I'm a broke college kid who loves his Google stuff and I just need a small TV for my room, what's my most affordable option to get something running Android TV? Everything I've seen is either over a thousand dollars or Roku.
