Which is the best version for Mibox? I tried both the 12 and 20 of Dec(19.0.0.145 and 19.0.1.157) and it's the same. I can't control the interface using the remote from Mibox.

I have been using Google Assistant to turn my shield and TV off and on for the longest time without any issue, but recently when I tell Assistant to turn off the TV or turn off Nvidia shield it does it, but then it turns back on after a few seconds. When I tell it to turn off a second time it stays off. Any idea of what could be causing this?

Hi there! I hope you can help me with this. I just got a Sony Bravia X90F with Android TV but I'm.having difficulties to navigate on the Android system and back to the signals input. I have a Set top box which provide my television service, it is connected to the HDMI port (don't remember which number), so basically any time that I hit the Home button our go directly to Nextflix, there is no way that seems to work for going back again to the signal provided by my TV service (The STB on the HDMI); I tried pressing the BACK and EXIT buttons but it always send me to the HOME part (were the Andrpid apps are listed), and thats not what I want.

Any ideas how you can go back to the signal in other inputs other than having to press the INPUT button and select the correct input again? Really frustrating.

So I got the Oreo update 2 days ago on a 55PUS7503 and now I can't read my NTFS HDD anymore with Kodi, VLC, ES Explorer, Archos Video... The only way to read my HDD is to read it from the native Philips app.

Does this update broke the NTFS support for you too guys? I tried to call the hotline but they don't care much about this problem, they keep telling me to use FAT32.

I wanna ask something about casting my P20 Pro to my mi box. I have an old LG 42LM640S-ZA and i bought the Xiaomi Mi Box S to compensate for the old hardware. But im having trouble casting my screen to the mi box. The P20 Pro's Wireless Projection doesn't work and can't pick up any chromecast or miracast signals.

I looked for compatible controllers but could not find anything definitive here on reddit or google in general.

I tried PlayStation DualShock 4 controllers, old model and new and it refused to pair, a wired Hori brand PS4 controller did work and so did the DS4 when it was wired.

Playing PC games using Steam Link was the goal as well as using RetroArch, but not through a wired controller.

I can say that I was looking at getting other branded controls that are supposedly compatible with Android, but nowhere did I get a definitive yes or no answer that it is compatible with the Mi Box.

For anyone looking for a compatible controller, the Xbox One Wireless controller does work and pairs well with the Mi Box and is easy to set up. I went and got one on a whim because I wasn’t sure with some saying yes it works and others saying no it doesn’t.

For those who are interested in getting the Xbox Controller, make sure that it says Wireless on the box and also look for Bluetooth somewhere on the box and you will know it’s the right one.

This was announced a long time ago and every time there's an update, Nvidia taunts me that this feature is here but it still doesn't work!

Had a chance to buy either for the same price but the S ended up being sold out so i quickly bought the second listing on ebay but turned out to be the original version. I know they are pretty much exactly the same except the remote and bluetooth 4.2. I just feel like I missed out on the "newer version", trying to justify keeping it and not wait till another S pops up. Any physical difference you liked over the newer version?

I own several MiBoxes and a Shield TV, and I am wondering which app can I use to remote control my computer (using either Debian or Ubuntu OS) with audio support?

I usually use VNC, but it doesn't have audio support.

Just gotten my Mi Box S and we like it very much. I love it!

However, when I try the Google Assistent, it basically only returns Youtube Search results. Even direct commands like "Play Stranger Things" on Netflix gives me results from Youtube.

Am I overseeing an option where I can enable the complete Google Assistant functionality?

I am used to watching movies and tv series on slightly faster speeds on my computer (1.3X-1.5X). When I chromecast to my Mi Box it's not a problem since I can just increase the speed on my computer, but for native android tv apps like netflix and HBO, is there a way to increase playback speed?

Anyone know of an android tv screensaver that plays random youtube videos (from a list)

It would be really cool to automate playing one of those 4 hour soothing youtube bubbling brook videos. Plus it would be fun to look for videos the pick from, could basically replace Aerial Dream for me .

I recently got a Mi Box S. I have been using a Chromecast Ultra but figured for the price it was worth it to have an actual OS attached to it. I added it to my Google Home but I can’t get ambient mode to work with anything other than the featured art. Is there some trick to this or what is going on?

I’ve mostly been a Roku user for our streaming but loved being able to cast from Google Home to my Ultra. Not sure if the Mi Box S is worth the trouble yet or not.

Anyone has problems with Netflix on Mi Box? Now, when I open the app it instantly closes.

I remember I got some cheapy bt4.1 headphones that couldnt pair with the mi box. back at the time I didnt look into it but now I want to order one that will be able to pair with the mi box (oreo)

Any ideas what do I need to look before ordering?
