When I press the cast button in the latest version of YouTube Vanced from my android phone to nvidia SHIELD with the latest version of SHIELD experience, it didn't respond. Anyone else here have the same issue? I've both devices in the same subnetwork. I've also power cycled router and modem, restart phone and shield, the issue still persists. I've tried to cast to nvidia shield using normal YouTube app from my android phone, it works and then I multi-tasking by switching back to Vanced and start casting, it temporarily worked because I have to rely on the normal youtube app. Is there any way to have only Youtube Vanced cast to shield without relying on normal youtube app?

Is there any way to 'like' a song in a big list without having to physically scroll back to the top each time.

Kind of tedious in a big playlist.

Hi everyone,

Actually, I have a Chromecast 2 and I'm thinking to replace this for a more efficient solution. For the needs :

I use mostly my Chromecast for Netflix, YouTube and Twitch.
I want a 1080p and UHD (for the future, today I use my Chromecast on a full HD screen) capabilities output.
I want a Chromecast compatible device.
With an Ethernet port.

I see the Nvidia Shield TV 2017 but I want to know if better and/or recent devices exists.

The reason for the below message is due to the amount of question on their system hasn’t been updated and which android tv to buy. ******I know the shield is expensive, but if you have a chance to save up for it, do it. It is simply the best android player out there. It is the best media player.

Philips 2018 and Oreo

I own a Philips 2018 TV with android 7. Are few months that I read about the Oreo update from the Vendor but still nothing 😢

Mi Box S + Netflix = No 5.1 sound problem

Hi, I bought recently this box for unified experience (using netflix and hbo go). Almost everything is ok, except there is no 5.1 audio tracks on netflix. Mi box S is connected to my old yamaha rv450 thru toslink (similiar to this https://b.allegroimg.com/original/01ab4f/f76b18604995bc3a092ab77ccdab). However I can play demo 5.1 files from Kodi (with passtrough setting on). My ampli reads audio as 5.1 correctly.

You can also see photos from Xbox One and mi box on same movie. Why netflix not let my mi box see 5.1 audio track?

ps. In audio settings I can only pick between PCM or Auto, someone asking about always option - there is no such option.

My Nexus Player can't play the movie I downloaded

So I told my friends to come over to my new place and watch Unbreakable before we see Glass this weekend, and I found a Mega link to download it. I connected my account to X-plore File Manager and opened it with VLC, but the video froze less than a minute in while the audio continued playing. I thought the problem was that I was streaming it, so I copied the file to the Movies folder in internal storage. But that didn't fix the issue. Please help me solve this before I disappoint my friends.

Philips android tv (2015) not updated to android 8 - what to do?

I have the Philips 40PFT6510/12.

Latest android version 5.1.1

Says somewhere that it will not be upgraded to newer android version.

Can I install android 8 via USB somehow??

youtube tv app and chromecast connection

Hello,

I use Mibox 3, and have a youtube app installed. when i try to cast any video from my youtube mobile app it connects to tv as chromecast (builtin), not connects to youtube TV app.

PS: It connects to youtube when i link youtube mobile app and tv app.

VLC video stuttering issue on Mi Box S

Hi guys...

I noticed that playing HD movies in VLC makes the video lag/stutter... while playing the same video in Kodi and MX player is perfectly fine...

is there some settings to turn on/off that could fix the issue in VLC?

I know I just can watch it on Kodi or MX player but I prefer VLC over them...

mi box s vs chromecast ultra

Hi,

I am trying to decide between one of these devices to hook up to my 4k TV. I have seen many mixed reviews for the mi box s not being able to handle 4k streaming for netflix/etc. I am mainly looking for something that can cast netflix/hulu from my phone but also cast 4k video that is saved on my desktop. Will the mibox adequately handle that?
