Are there any other companies out there that have set top boxes that use official Android TV besides the usual suspects in the sidebar?

I wish chinese companies that make these boxes would use Android TV proper, as they usually have pretty good specs

There's nothing in settings and the app on appstore is inaccesable

As the title suggests i have reinstalled kodi app from playstore, deleted caches. still i am facing a crash and error (KODI KEEPS STOPPING). Please someone help as i am unable to find any answers!!! thanks in advance.

I have 2 Android TV devices, firstly a Shield for the TV room and since I enjoyed it so much I got a Mi Box for the living room. I can cast from anytime and anywhere to my Shield, it always appears in the "Cast To" options even when I turn it off, enabling an elaborate auto turning on of the TV too.

However, I just can't seem to find the Mi Box on the selections when it's asleep. I have to manually turn it on/wake it up to be able to cast to it. Anyone having the same problem? Is this "normal" for the Mi Box?

So i'm buying my first Android box. I reccon that it has to have a good CPU and GPU but since my objective is to play Kodi on a smartv, to watch sports channels, i won't probably need +2gb RAM.

I think Xiaomi mibox looks good, and i don't mind give 70$ for it, but since i'm new to this field, can someone show me some good reviews? Perhaps theres some other good boxes way cheaper.

My smart TV isn't 4K, is it worth to buy a 4k box?

Android version should be at least >Marshmellow right?

If possible give me some insides, links, etc. I don't mind read good reviews about it :)

EDIT1: Just realized that Xiaomi mibox doesn't have a ethernet port which i need very hard because the wi-fi sinal on my living room is low.

Yesterday my internet service went down for over an hour but I still had cell service.

My LAN was working so I had this idea to screen cast my phone screen to my Mi box so I could maybe watch Netflix on my big screen. I went to the Google home app on my phone, found my Mi box, and selected it. After a minute or so, it failed.

Why would I need internet on my router to locally cast my phone screen to my Android TV?

I can't figure out why I keep getting Playback Error when trying to play movies from this app on my first gen Shield TV. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still getting the same error. All my other devices(iOS and Android) are working fine, just this Shield TV getting error.

So trying to hook up a second gamesir- G3s to my MiBox to play on my emulator but Everytime I try to connect it the device says can not pair. Then when I try playing with it plugged in it reads it like a mirror of the first remote and they both control the same player. Any ideas?

My fucking stupid Mi box does. I'm watching a video file and 12 minutes in, it stops as if I turned my PC off.

No kodi. Using Windows 10 native function. Sometimes it shows up on UPnP source, sometimes it does not.
