Missed the text part.... So I bought my parents a TCL c735 85" but apparently they miss the old shutdown feature of their old Samsung. Note this isn't the sleep timer but rather a function that would shut it off automatically every day at a given time as my dad has a tendency to fall asleep on the couch and not shut off the TV until he wakes up again late at night.

I find the one in my Google TV absolutely unbereable, constant hiccups, can't control anything besides pause and play, if I exit or push the home button I literally have to restart the Google TV to stream content through the media player again because if I don't do it the only thing that streams is the audio... It just sucks...

I mainly use it for VLC and streaming content from different sites

Can I use another one as gbe default one or do I have to live with this one?

When a video finishes, it immediately closes and SmartTubeNext goes back to the home screen. Sometimes I want to go down the recommendations rabbit hole a little bit, and I can't if it keeps going back to the start. Can I turn this off?

I found a sonos playbar for 20 dollars at a goodwill, merry Christmas to me! I have it connected to my Philips google tv through a digital optical audio cable, and although I have external audio system selected in the audio settings, sound still comes through the tv. Why can I not manage to fully disable the tv sound so the remote doesn’t continue to control it and the soundbar at the same time? Am I missing something obvious?

We've been using Google TV for over a year with Netflix, Prime, Crave, Disney, and apple tv. A couple weeks ago Disney and Prime won't play (all other work). I can access the subscription catalogue, I just get an error msg when I try to watch something. I can still cast them from my phone. I've tried a hard reset, clearing the cache, updating the software...nothing. Google tech support has been...less than helpful. Anyone have any ideas?

basically convert an app made for touch screen to android tv screen (using remote not touch)

im not asking for perfect conversion byut the ability to use remote to clock on things so i dont have to use a mouse.

I have a TCL 4 series. Just bought a Bose Solo Soundbar Series 2.

When plugging in the optical cable it came with, I am only getting sound through the TV.

The only options I see when going to

Settings > Audio: I see Sound Mode, Audio Delay, Audio Mode Only, and Advanced Settings

Settings > Audio > Advanced Settings: I see Balance, Audio Volume Control, Digital Audio Out, and Digital Audio Out Delay.

Under Digital Audio Out: Options I see are Pass Through, PCM, Auto, and Off.

None of these options work, sound still comes out of my TV no matter the option.
