So I was trying to active FXNOW on my Nexus Player, and Comcast was not listed as a provider. I found this workaround on the fireTV subreddit. I tried it multiple times to no avail. Today I decided to give it another go, and when I launched the FXNOW app, it was magically activated. So the workaround must have worked with some delay. Just thought I would share in case anyone is in the same boat w/ Comcast.
Hi all
Going to grab a box this week and hook it up to my Samsung tv and I have lots of questions Im hoping you can help me with.
Im getting this box http://www.amazon.ca/RioRand-Amlogic-Android-Miracast-Airplay/dp/B00SD1FBIY
Starting off cheap, since I don't know anything about this. The person I'm buying it from will program everything for me.
I'm just wondering what the up time on live channels is? Way back I had the Dishnet boxes which would go down when there were major UFC/Boxing live evens and I would have to wait for a new code.
I'm mostly in it for sports, will I have issues if i do not have a US IP (I'm in Canada)?
Will I get Fox/CBS/ABC/NBC/CNN, in other words standard cable channels?
Do the rules on this subforum allow me to even ask the above questions?
Im in it for live tv, is the android box a good option?
Currently I have cable in the house but to add another "receiver" (as its called here), is like 150$ so Im thinking why dont I just buy this instead. I am assuming I can get more channels on here then I do with standard cable (which in Canada is about 80 channels)?
How is the quality?
I believe I have 30Mbps speed, will this suffice?
Thanks
