So i have this new tv and its my first time owning an android tv. First is i format the usb to become a removable storage from the TV. Second is i wanna put on some HD movies on the drive. so i copy 1 movie (7gb) to the external. and it always says FILE IS TOO LARGE FOR THE DESTINATION. Can i format the usb drive from my PC? Please help. i wanna watch HD movies on my new tv.

Hi I have at home Nvidia shield Mibox Hisense tv Nexus player

All with Android tv. For longest time I only logged in with a secondary accou t that does not have access to anything. Unfortunately google assistant doesn't provide me with personal results (Long ago) The reason I did this is because Android tv is open and (after setup) does not require user and password. I don't want to expose my personal information. Somebody could sideload Gmail or Drive for example (it is is my home but why take the risk) Is the situation any different now? When I do it to Samsung TV there's an option in my phone to make it full screen.

Didn’t find the option on chromecast hd (android 12). It’s not on the same location like chromecast 4k (android 10). In android 10, you will find under Privacy > Security & Restrictions > Unknown Sources.

But in chromecast hd (android 12), it’s not there.

Just got the sony x80k and it showed a promp saying “enable ok google command”. I declined that request at the time but now I’m struggling to enable it. Can’t find the setting anywhere. Any idea how to enable it?

On all my android TVs when i stream soccer on ifollow i get a micro stutter every 9 seconds... I've tried to change between hardware and software encoding but neither works ... Could this be a frame rate issue? If so is there anyway to get the browser to correctly match the frame rate? I mainly watch on shield TV and fire TV

I've tried brave, edge, chrome, puffin, Jio browsers all have the same issue

I tried everything. None of the buttons on my remote do anything apart from turning it off and on. I tried draining the power, letting it sit overnight, nothing worked.

Don't know if the same Chinese company that owns the generic tv-box H96 MAX trademark brand is just the main distributor for this new box or also owns the HAKO brand name, but the H96 MAX website is where I first learned of this box weeks ago.

I got a chromecast tv hd today but can't find device preferences I want to add new channel's for other apps I have is this been locked? And if so is there a work around or a different tv launcher

I use TVQuickActions for the dock menu to easily switch between apps on my TCL Google TV. About a month or so ago, a Google TV updated released and since then TVQA no longer works. If I go in and unassign and reassign the buttons, it works for a little while but eventually reverts back to the remote’s default controls. Has anyone run into this problem yet or know how to fix it? I tried contacting the dev but never heard back 😕

Hi! I usually just chromecast cast shit from my phone to the tv but we got isolation at my college dorm so I had to get a chromecast with google tv and I’m using movieboxpro app on it. Problem with it, sometimes it doesn’t have everything. Or it takes a while for it to add something. Especially with anime. What I have heard people say to use is puffin ( but you have to pay), tvbro ( pretty sure I need an android device to use it unless there’s a way I can download it on my tv, I have an iphone and no other android devices.) open browser (same situation with tv bro). Is there any browsers apps on tv I can download straight to my tv or side load or whatever from there so I can watch things on it or am I just screwed if it’s not on the moviebox app.

Running a Shield TV with the "hybrid" drive since 2017, it's crashed a few times recently and I wonder if the drive is about to fail...

i live in an apartment and nobody in the complex can figure out what to do. it’s been over 2 months 😭 i’ve unplugged and replugged the ethernet multiple times. i unplugged the tv. we don’t have an individual router so i can’t unplug the router.

And if so what am I doing wrong? After connecting SmartThings and Google, all I have is option to turn on and off a device. What am I doing wrong?

Hello guys Is it me? Or netflix is by far the slowest streaming service to launch on Android TV (MiBox S, in my case). It's unreal how long it takes.

I've tried deleting cache, storage, uninstalling. ltis just dreadful how long it takes to start up and sometimes it won't even launch after a minute waiting looking at the stupid red N and the loading circle below it. Is it the same with you?

For the last couple of weeks google assistant does not turn off my tvs with the voice command feature for various bravia tvs in my house. Has anyone else experienced the issue where google assistant will recognize ok google and 'turn off tv' commands but wont actually do anything? I've uninstalled 'google' app updates but that only stops it for a bit. It's ridiculous that this is happening, and I might have to disable app updates entirely.

Any tips/solutions?

So my new Sony A80k has pretty much no local storage so I bought a USB drive to leave permanently plugged in. I used Google's TV option to reformat as internal storage and it works great. When I install new apps they go there. The problem is that I cannot seem to find a way to transfer big files to it from my computer.

One of the main reasons I got it was to transfer big-ish video clips to use as screen savers (for movies I have a dedicated SSD), but using a file manager only shows the local storage. When I use the TV option to move/migrate my data to the USB drive it fails. I can only move apps manually from settings. But for photos/video or any other content I can't seem to find a way to transfer them there.

Any ideas?
