Anyone else have this? My mibox can no longer cast the screen from my Galaxy S7 Edge. Upone connection, It'll load the initial connecting screen, my phone works fine, but the screen on my TV is frozen.

I can still cast YouTube, Netflix Etc. I tried uninstalling the update for the cast app, was even worse when I tried casting then, then I updated it, and still have the same problem.

I recently system updated the mibox (fixes for YouTube?) But both before and now it isn't working.

Anyone know a fix to this?

My Sony Android TV upgraded itself last week, and since then I can't properly search within apps.

Clicking the mic button on my remote when I'm within an app pulls up a Google Assistant/Search bar at the bottom instead of the search page of that app.

Manually going into the search page for that app sometimes won't let me voice search, instead I hear the voice search 'ping' 2 or 3 times.

Is there anything I can do to get back to how it used to be?

I cannot, for the life of me, find a way to cancel a series recording. The program is not airing again until Tuesday so is not visible in the Guide.

Google never markets ATV at all, I have legit never saw an ad for Android TV. Also, it seems like there is no native Android TV apps, and if there is, they haven't been updated in forever. Any idea what could be the reason/cause for ATV seeming so "dead"/under-developed?

We really need a system wide autoframe rate switching!

It is SO annoying to have to manually change framerate 10 times a day depending on what you are going to watch (and be lucky to know the source frame rate - which can be a nightmare for Netflix or Amazon).

Having to switch manually between 24hz (most movies and US tv shows) and 50hz (most UK tv shows) constantly is annoying as hell!

The worse is Youtube where you can have all sorts of frame rates (24 hz, 25 hz, 30 hz, 50 hz, 60 hz). A real stuttering party :/

The Apple TV 4k can do it!

Something has to be done about it or I'll have to switch reluctantly to Apple TV :(

I have been getting very close to my comcast limit of 1tb from streamin all the time, was going to see if disabling background data would help so I can see if it makes a difference, like an app will only use data when I open it and use it. Have a nexus player, Mi Box and a fire tv stick if it helps

Has anyone noticed that we've had an update to the launcher on Oreo to 1.2.7 - so far the only thing I've noticed is that the app row can be as long as you want now - no more just picking 6 apps.

We've have a Mi box for a couple of years running Kodi and Exodus and were pretty happy with it. At some point Exodus became unreliable, so we went back to our old way of getting TV shows. Now it's become very unreliable. Curious if I can just delete Kodi and it's add ons and just kind of start over. Thanks in advance, guys

Recently bought an Nvidia shield. I incorrectly thought that any app that would work on Android was also supported on Android TV.

I like many things about the device, but two of the first apps I wanted to use (Apps I need to convince my wife to cut the cord namely--- the CW app and the Playon app) are not natively supported.

Am I missing something?

These wifi settings are of my router. All other devices android ipads laptops work fine but my mibox gives 2kbps and lags and cannot play a video even. As soon as i turn on mobile hotspot with same wifi on my phone and laptop.

The mibox runs like a beast on the same internet. Guys please help me out what settings on my router is causing this. I dont have a wireless ac router so tell me workarounds on this router.

I've just bought a mi box 3 without much research and I'm regretting it. Audio and video goes out of sync every couple days and I need to cut power and wait for a while before it works again. It happens both on netflix and youtube.

I've searched on internet and turns out it's a very common problem and there is no solution yet. I've tried everything recommended and still a/v is out of sync.

Any decent android tv box with netflix support?

1. If I'm running a plex server I obviously want it running even when nobody is watching on the nvidia box. Is this just turning off "put device to sleep"?

2. I notice if I change from the HDMI input for the shield to, say, cable, it stops playing. Is this avoidable (in my case, watching sports on both and wanted switch between them)?

3. What exactly is CEC TV on/off?

4. I set up the IR for my TV. How do I actually now use the nvidia remote to turn TV on/off?
