I've had this Sony 4k TV for just over 2 years.

When I purchased it it was fairly quick and snappy but now when I turn it on I have to wait on a black screen for 2-3 minutes whilst it's unresponsive. Even changing channels and loading the TV guide takes forever and that's a TVs main function!

Does anyone have any tips on how I can make my Android TV fast again?

I tried a reset 3 weeks ago and it hardly made a difference

I wanted to see if it was possible to use my G930 wireless headset with the Shield.

This headset uses a little USB receiver to wuirelessly connect to the headset.

Upon plugging it into the back of the Shield, all audio from my regular speakers cut. So it does seem like the Shield knows this is an audio device.

I had hoped it was directing the audio to the headset, but sadly no sound is coming out of the headphones. Does anyone why the issue is?

As soon as I unplugged the USB receiver, the audio immediately comes back through the speakers.

I recently got a miboc android tv and it works great except not getting detected by any of my phones over the same wifi network for casting, in google home app, or android tv remote app, but my pc, which is connected to same network with a lan cable can detect it and gives an option to cast video when i open youtube.

I found a multitude of tutorials on how to install AndroidTV to your PI, and most of them stated that it is not very stable and apps like YouTube and Netflix don’t really work. The only thing I need is for it to have support for YouTube and Netflix. Does it? and without crashes?

i have been looking for a DVB-T2 USB tuner for my xiaomi tv box , and i cant find one . i found that there are ATSC tuners but that is not the standard in middle east . does anyone know a good USB tuner ? and does it really work ?

I'm currently not in the united states , I can watch youtube tv thru my browser using a location changer chrome extension called "location guard" it works fine and i can switch between states easily

but I'd like to install the app (which I cant find in the play store due to my location restriction, i want to watch on my android tv, is there any way to do it without losing bandwidth to VPNs?

i got somthing to work its a little jank but to hell with it

i used Floater to mock my location on my phone then sideloaded the YT TV then cast to my android tv from the phone

cons: battery drain , need strong network , low quality

My 1st gen aftv has been great for almost 3years but is now starting to lag more and more, and i feel its time to upgrade

I fancy getting a box with the proper android tv skin over, i thought the mi box looked good but it is the same 2gb ram as my aftv so not sure it would be much of a upgrade?

I also looked at a mecool m8s l but heard it didnt have proper allcast on it, which is important to me.

Budget of about £70 tops, any help appreciated, cheers

Hey all. I'm considering a shield TV or a minix u9-h. Ideally I would like the shield however from my understanding Skype with a webcam does not work. It does with the Minix (standard Android). Does anyone know if Viber or whatapp works with Android TV?

Hi everyone im new to andriod tv can someone tell me what apks they use to watch free 4k movies?

I cast from Chrome browser on my laptop. I normally do mirror tab. For some reason it plays lag free when initially mirrored, but as soon as I enable fullscreen on the laptop it starts losing sync between the picture and sound on the TV (now in fullscreen).

As I said, if it's not in fullscreen mode, I don't seem to have any problems seemingly. There is still a delay on the screen with the mouse cursor, but the video itself seems to play fine. As soon as fullscreen is on though, it starts up.

Any ideas? I checked on a first gen Chromecast with the same setup and this problem doesn't happen. It's only on the Mi Box.

I recently updated my 2015 kd65xd8599 to the 7.0 nougat update. For some reason when trying to install a third party application the "install" button is greyed out. I have the allow unknown sources option enabled but still no such luck. I didn't have this issue with the previous 6.0 updates anyone know what might be causing this?

Is anyone else having an issue logging into the new YouTube App released a few weeks ago?

I’ve been using my Xbox One for both gaming and Netflix, however I am building a PC for gaming, so I’m planning to sell it. Since my TV has no native Smart TV support, I need a Android TV box, or stick or whatever, but I do plan to use my Logitech G633 headphone for said TV and am in need for a 3.55mm headphone jack inside the remote, if it was in the box itself, it wouldn’t work considering it’ll be placed behind the TV. Third party remotes are fine unless they’re ridicilously expensive.

My Mi Box power supply makes high pitched noise. What can I do about it?

I'm only getting recommendations for plex, Pandora and YouTube. How do I get amazon video and Netflix to show up? They're checked on in recommendations screen and notifications are enabled, but they don't show up.

This is such a small thing- but it's starting to get on my nerves and I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing the same..

I only use PLEX "On Deck" recommendation row with my Android TV, I've disabled everything else, just feel it's the only thing worth using and the other options look messy.

Issue I'm having: Usually once you've watched a program On Deck it'll remove itself from the home screen. It does this with 95% of the shows I'm watching.However, there's the odd one that will stay on the Home screen and not remove itself. This is even when it's been marked as watched and deleted permanently from library, it just wont clear. The only way to completely remove it is to go into the Android settings and clear the app data. Which is very frustrating.

Anyone else experience the same? Any solution?

I'm traveling this week and I took my Mi Box with me to plug into hotel tv's. Found out last night at a holiday inn express that their Wi-Fi system I have to accept a login page in order to get on the Wi-Fi. Do I need to install a browser in order to get this going? And do I have to sideload one because I haven't seen one on the store.

Or is there an easier way to do this?
