New update to Live Channels seems to hold onto the HD homerun tuner channel and not let go. After two channels clicks, my channels all get weak signal notice.

I have a logitech webcam. The Shield pics up the mic and video no problem. The only issue is hangouts produces no sound at all. It doesn't make the ringtone noise and when someone picks up it's silent. They can hear me through the mic and they can see my video. I downloaded a volume control app to see if the call volume was at 0 and it was 4/5 so that doesn't seem to be it either. I'm not sure what else it could be.

I really hope Gamedev releasing more games on Android TV. I don't understand why many great games aren't on Android TV already.

I got the box a few weeks ago. I watched youtube videos about downloading apps etc.

I have a bunch of the most used apps but they just load endlessly and i can't access content.

I'm wondering if the box is faulty or something? I tried updating the apps, i tried restarting. I tried different ones. But its so frustrating.

Anyone any idea why the NP still doesn't have the Oreo update and that no images exist for it on Google's official site. Is this the only Google product that is getting Oreo that has yet to have an image?

Hi all, first post so hope this is the right place.

I am considering a mi box for my sister in law (so shield is too expensive a gift 😆) to stream from my emby server (similar to Plex). I have recently started moving my video files to 1080p h265 10bit. I have read some bad things about this video format in 4k but I'm not worried about 4k yet.

I recently tried a fire stick which wasn't able to direct play these files due to the 10bit colour. Can anyone who has a mi box confirm these will direct play?

What I would really like is a browser that can be sideloaded and work with the Flash based Xfinity Stream web app that is meant for desktop and laptop based web browsers. I tried one Android based browser that supports flash but the login button refused to be clickable even using a mouse.

It seems feasible that someone could or has created an Android browser that fakes the user agent it reports or whatever it's called. I'm sure that Comcast probably tries to detect what OS the browser is running on and will refuse to run if it's something other than an OS meant for desktop systems and laptops. I know they are very particular about requiring one of the latest versions of Flash for the Stream web app to be usable.

My folks from India are here and was planning to get them the Mibox. But before I head to Walmart I want to ask existing users of this Box that whether the adapter supports 220v or not. If it's only 110v then I would probably not buy as they will need to use a step down transformer or something in India to use it.

there is a new TV service company in my country. if a customer wants to join this tv service he is required to rent from them an android TV box or use their phone/tab app. i have xiaomi tv box for each tv which saves me the cost and hassle to rent their tv box. there is an option to join as 'app only' but they do not released the android tv app to the play store. some users managed to pull out the android tv apk from their tv box. i got it installed on my mibox but it just disappear after installing.

what could be the problem here?

I've had my Shield TV for like several months, and Nvidia still hasn't released the update for Google Assistant. The website still says it's coming in early 2017. What gives Nividia? It's September...

Is there an app like Mobdro, but that accepts remote input? Using a mouse on the couch is a complete deal breaker for me.

Is there anything in AndroidTV that takes the role of "My Feed" on Roku, or "My Shows" on TiVo? Is there any way to aggregate content? Even 3rd party options.

Example so say if a new episode of my favorite show becomes available, I can launch it from my aggregated list instead of having to open an app and find out it's available in there, or relying on some annoying "recommendations" area.

I need some help please. I believe my setup is the reason for my problems I have, but would like to check.

Setup.

MiBox connected to my Samsung Plasma Via HDMI Samsung TV Audio out to Marantz AV receiver via Optical cable.

The reason for my setup is due my Marantz AV receiver not having HDMI ports, thus having to route it like I currently have it.

I have my Mibox set to HDMI as output, but when playing a movie with 5.1 or DTS via Kodi I have no Audio.

I'm not sure if this is a setting issue in the MiBox or a lack of support of the MiBox or if it's something In Kodi that is wrong or if it's case that my TV aren't able to replay the audio stream that come in via the HDMI cable.

Do you guys have any advise?

My Mibox has about 140ms delay on Moonlight compared to my Nexus as 14ms. Does the MiBox decoder really cause 10x the delay for some reason? They were hooked to the same ethernet cable at the same location for testing.

I wonder if the Mi Box will support them with the future nougat update or the Nvidia Shield will be the only one with official support...

I am hoping that Android TV users who use the "LIVE CHANNELS" apps and HD HomeRun can share helpful tips.

I recently started using Shield TV and first tried HDHomeRun Connect with it. I am using LiveChannels app and making it use the source of 'Network TV Tuner (Beta)' exposed by HDHomeRun box. Everything works perfectly, including DVR.

I then decided to ditch cable boxes and use the same setup with HDHR Prime. Unfortunately, Live Channels does NOT see the 'Network TV Tuner' source from Prime. It does see "HDHomeRun Input" source if I install the HDHR app, but of course I don't want to use it as it's only good for LiveTV not for timeshifting or DVR capabilities, which are only available if i use the 'Network TV Tuner' source.

I thought maybe an update or misconfiguration is causing an issues, so after many factory resets and no success, I tried HDHR Connect, and even a HDHR Extend box, and voila, Network tV Tuner DOES show up when I use those boxes.

So it seems that the LiveChannels app and Shield TV haven't lost that functionality in the current version that I am running. The issue only occurs if I use 'PRIME' box instead of Connect or Extend. This also means that router or network configuration is not a problem.

With all those variables removed, I'd really appreciate if any of you have any troubleshooting tips.
