Mi Box Bluetooth not working

It seems my Mi Box's Bluetooth is not working at all. It was fine for some time, but now the remote is not working and I can't connect any other device via Bluetooth. I thought it was a problem with the remote and followed all the suggestions (unpairing, pairing, rebooting, changing the batteries, factory reset), but no success. I figured Bluetooth is the problem when I couldn't connect via BT with my phone to use it as a remote. Worked with using Wi-Fi, but BT just wouldn't find anything. I did factory reset, but now I'm out of options. Any ideas?

Date Nougat realese ?

Already months after the beta, and is out Android Oreo.

so it looks like an official Nougat mibox exists

Im in a bad signal area so haven't had much chance to dig but it looks reasonably legit http://mibox.telebee.com/box/ So it looks like this could be running Android TV - Operator Tier, this is the base Android TV BUT it allows the launcher to be modified by Broadcaster selling the box

[MiBox] Stuttering on most videos

My MiBox was working fine since I've bought it, however for the last month or so, I've noticed a lot of stuttering (not all the time, but in certain places)

This happens on both, YouTube videos with the native app, and Kodi content, whether local from NAS (home videos) or online (like Food Network app).

With the YouTube stats window, I can see a lot "Dropped Frames" that seem to increase after each stuttering occurrence.

With the Kodi info window, I can see a lot of "dropped" frames in the stats too.

It's not network bandwidth: Kodi buffer is full with several dozen megs to spare, and YouTube buffer health also shows dozens of seconds to spare. Besides, it also happens on local NAS content, and I have both the MiBox and the NAS on ethernet connection.

It's the same content that I used to watch before... so seems like a month or so ago, something broke in MiBox decoder?

Problems hiding leanback launcher and using SPMC as home menu

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone else had this issue. As the title states I'm having issues trying to change my default home menu to SPMC. I've been able to do this before several times and never had a problem. I used this guide.

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/929643/shield-tv/auto-start-spmc-/post/4854916/#4854916

Long story short I screwed up something and had to do a factory reset and now for the life of me I can't get the leanback launcher hidden again. Everytime I run the "adb shell pm hide com.google.android.leanbacklauncher" command I get the error Error: java.lang.SecurityException: Neither user 2000 nor current process has android.permission.MANAGE_USERS.

I've never had a problem in the past getting this to work. Any suggestions?

Got an OS update yesterday? [Mi Box]

I think I got Nougat yesterday. The real deal, that is. Didn't check afterwards as I didn't have time (and now I'm going to sleep), but it said it was a OS update. The device rebooted with a little guy welding and then all apps were optimized.

Edit: Turned out it was the July update which forced itself onto the device.

Sorting movies by release date in SPMC/Kodi?

Can this be done? I know this can be done by year - but since day/month is not honoured, it's not what I'm looking for. Currently using 'date added' but this seems to go off the "modified date" of the file itself.

MiBox and YouTube Red 2x speeds?

Whenever I try to watch a Youtube Red Original, my audio is about 2x speed, high pitched, and off sync. Regular Youtube videos are fine. I have tried HDMI Pass thru and PCM. It's just directly plugged into a TV.

Anybody else having issues like this?
