I was just wondering if anyone has been able to do this? Is it a glitch? Or is it purposely blocked? I noticed when I open it on the restricted profile, it's not signed in. In the settings, there is no sign in feature, and the only way try to sign in is to select subscribe (to anything). Then it asks if I want to sign in. But when I choose it, nothing happens.

Any ideas? This is really annoying. I'd like to have all my likes, subscriptions, etc all up there in the YouTube app in the restricted profile.

I currently dual boot Linux and Windows 10 on my desktop gaming system with a GTX 970 but find it a pain having to boot up Windows any time I want to play a game. I just bought a basic desktop to use as my Linux box, but now I'm interested in running my gaming PC headless just for Gamestream purposes. Has anybody here done this? Any tips or gotchas I should know in advance?

So I have a Sony Android Smart TV and I'd like to play my media files on it (currently watching from laptop).

Watching from a laptop with Potplayer, I really like being able to finetune the playback speed (I watch lots of media x1.5, x2, x3, the granular the better) and add subtitles.

Currently, I can't duplicate this on the smart tv. Using WiDi (Windows 10 Wireless Display connect), I can mirror cast my screen but it lags for 1080p video. Using Plex I can play my media file on the TV but lack the speedy playback.

What would be my best option?

Sorry for the vague question. I'm in the process of setting up an AndroidTV box, specifically a Shield. My question is around the apps, such as the Disney or Nickelodeon app and logging into them with my Comcast or UVerse credentials.

How long should the credentials last? i.e. at one point is it going to ask me to sign in again or activate the app? Is it going to be a week, two weeks, a month or indefinite? I'm trying to figure out how much of a hassle is it going to be to put 4 of these into the house on the various TV's.

Does that make sense or am I rambling?

I have a Mi Box and it's brilliant. I only really use it for Kodi though, so it'd be nice to be able to run Kodi on Android TV for a bit cheaper, perhaps on a TV stick (for a different TV).

Can Leanback Launcher be installed on unofficial android TV sticks to make them feel more... official? If so, are there any good sticks out there running 6.0?

I'd consider a Fire Stick if I can install Leanback Launcher on it, I dislike Amazon's skin. I've heard Kodi is a bit slow on it though :/

Annoyed Plex isn't working properly . . .

I have both the Nvidia Shield TV along with a Steam Link, and while the Shield utilizes Gamestream which does make the stream clearer than the Steam Link, I just have had never ending problems with it.

When I play a Steam game such as Overcooked, which is a couch co-op game, pressing any button at the start to activate the controller as player 1 will automatically put two players into the game instead of one, as if it double presses any button I press. This makes the game unplayable. In addition to this, when I add a PS4 controller to my Shield, it will automatically take control as player 1 in any game I try. Then, when I try to join a party in a game like Rocket League and play split screen, it'll put both player 2 and player 3 in the game, even though there's only two controllers connected.

Why is the Nvidia Controller double pressing in Gamestream? It works fine in Play Store games and navigating the menu, but games that work perfectly fine on the Steam Link just seem to struggle on the Shield.

I dont live in the US or Europe so my only options is to buy a chinese android box and i decided to go with the mi box but I can only get it in chinese language. Should i buy it?

Trying to set up my Mi Box, receiver and 4K LG TV (49UB850V).

Which resolution do you use? 2160p, 60hz? 50hz? Is there a way to set it up so that it matches the content being played? "Auto" always sets it to 1080p60. "HDMI Self adaption" doesn't seem to do anything. The deep color setting resets to off every time I restart the Mi Box and/or TV.

Is there a way to get DTS working in Plex? Without the Kodi-Plex-plugin which requires plex-pass?

i think about to buy a mi box international version. For fun i want to install a n64 emulator on it, but is it possible to connect four bluetooth gamepads (xiaomi maybe) with the box?

Did anyone do some testing with usb ethernet vs Wifi? I'm curious what the actual difference it gives.(could depend on location/internet provider)

Would it (theoretically) get 1.5x, 2x, 3x the speed of Wifi? Please post your thoughts thanks

Hey all, This is my current network setup, running through AC router. I currently use my PC as an HTCP, where I store all my media. If I'm streaming 4K content from my pc to my fire TV, will this connection be good enough? Anyone have similar connections?
