Back in March, Google announced this:
http://www.engadget.com/2015/03/02/android-tv-uses-phones-as-gamepads/
But as far as I can tell, there is no easy way to tell if a game currently supports your phone as a controller. Is there something I can look for or a list of games that support this?
Hi Guys, just wanted to share some awesome stuff i just figured out. I own one of the Sony Android TV's but this should work on all brands.
I couldn't get KODI to open the "context menu" for an item, furthermore i had experienced that my old tv and raspberry pi combo could communicate the numberpad keystrokes and utilize the keys like the old t9 cell phone keyboards. These limitations on KODI for android, got me anoyed. Therefore i:
I could at this point manually enter the keynumbers in this file, but i quickly realized that i didn't know what my remotes keynumbers were. The solution i found was this:
OK, so now were ready to modify how KODI interprets the keystrokes.
If you want to enable t9 typing on your remote, then Navigate to:
Global->Virtual Keyboard, and set 0 to the 0 key, 1 to the 1 key, 2 to the 2 key... Pic of the setup
When done use the regular back button to move backwards out of the editor, before exiting completely remember to hit the save button
Thanks for reading :-) hope it's usefull...
edit 1: clarified some stuff...
I just got an email from NVIDIA talking about how to stream the SuperBowl on the ShieldTV. link
The article is a little vague about whether the free options will allow you to actually watch the live game or if it is just some commentary and other info live streaming. Does anyone have more experience with watching NFL games with these apps?
So I heard about this page (https://history.google.com/history/audio?utm_source=help) which shows all your previous voice searches and noticed you can play them back. The audio quality of the searches on ATV were absolutely terrible and kinda explains (in my mind) why voice search is so useless. What do your searches sound like?
If you want to find out if stores near you have any in stock you can use this site.
